The MSC Canada team is currently looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager to join the team.
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to lead on the implementation of MSC's commercial strategy in Canada and to help deliver the MSC’s overall goals.
This is a senior position, and the post holder will lead Canada’s commercial strategy with its aim to increase the availability of MSC-certified and labelled products for consumers.
Successful commercial outreach lies at the core of the MSC program and plays a crucial role in driving participation in the program. In this position, you will be responsible for promoting MSC certification and establishing connections with retailers, and seafood businesses. Your goal will be to encourage sustainability and certification, ultimately safeguarding our oceans.
To be successful in this role, besides sharing our enthusiasm for our oceans, our ideal candidate will also have the following key skills / experience:
- Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Sustainability or Resource Management
- Extensive experience leading, developing and delivering integrated commercial strategies
- Ideally some experience working in, or with, the Canada seafood sector or an environmental organisation
- Extensive knowledge of the seafood industry, with existing contacts and networks highly desirable
- Previous line management experience an asset
- Fluency in both spoken and written English.

The MSC is committed to flexible working. The successful candidate will need to work from the Toronto office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month The remaining time can be worked from home. During the onboarding process, hybrid work may require more in-office work than remote work.
