Position Summary The Senior Compliance Analyst plays an important role in the organization by supporting Guild Mortgage's Origination division through a broad range of compliance activities, including complaint management, regulatory examinations, compliance monitoring, regulatory research and compliance advisory support. Working under minimal supervision, this role independently manages formal complaints, supports and facilitates state, federal, investor, and agency examinations, and assists in the design and execution of risk-based and other compliance monitoring reviews. Compensation This role is an exempt position with a targeted salary range of $ 67,000 to $90,000 annually . Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location. Essential Functions Independently investigate, analyze, and manage a high volume of formal complaints involving origination operations. Serve as needed as a backup for servicing related formal complaints. Provide clear, concise, and well supported written responses and communications to regulators, investors, executives, customers and other stakeholders. Perform root cause analysis to determine whether complaints, examination findings, or monitoring results represent isolated events or systemic compliance risk. Coordinate and facilitate state, federal, agency, GSE, and investor examinations, including document production, response coordination, issue tracking, and remediation. Manage multiple examinations and complaint matters concurrently while consistently meeting time sensitive regulatory deadlines. Design, develop, implement, maintain, and continuously enhance risk-based and other compliance monitoring reviews. Develop testing methodologies, sampling approaches, workpapers, reporting templates, and executive summaries for monitoring activities. Perform transactional testing, analyze results, communicate findings, and corrective actions. Research and interpret regulatory requirements to support complaints, examinations, compliance monitoring, and other assigned compliance activities. Review regulatory changes applicable to assigned job functions and implement required process updates as directed by management. Prepare executive summaries, trend analyses, examination updates, monitoring reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership. Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance controls, improve processes, and enhance the Compliance Management System. Escalate material compliance risks appropriately and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Legal Studies, or related field to the position, preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree. Minimum five years' experience in mortgage compliance. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce concise, persuasive, and regulator-ready complaint responses, examination narratives, executive summaries, and analytical reports. Strong critical thinking and sound judgment to evaluate complex facts, identify root cause, and develop practical, risk-based recommendations. Excellent organization and time management with the ability to manage numerous concurrent complaints, examinations, monitoring reviews, and special projects. Ability to design and mature compliance monitoring programs and testing methodologies. Executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with regulators, executives, attorneys, auditors, and operational leadership. Commitment to providing exceptional service through professionalism, responsiveness, effective communication, and collaborative problem-solving across customers, regulators, business partners, and leadership. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required. Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media. Environmental: Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Travel: 5% or less Mental: This role requires effective adaptation to workplace stressors, including customer service complaints, security responsibilities, and competing priorities. Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday; occasional night or weekend may be necessary.
