About you

Do you have a passion for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry?

Do you want to work across a mix of strategy consulting projects that draw from competitor, customer, medical and commercial insights?

Are you a highly motivated professional interested in being part of a dynamic team of self-starters, working with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle?

If so, consider turning your expertise into a valuable career at Prescient. We welcome applications from life science professionals with project management or consulting experience and therapeutic area experience in cardiovascular, renal and metabolism (CVRM), respiratory and immunology (R&I) or infectious disease to join our growing Competitive Strategy Practice.

About Our Competitive Strategy Practice

Prescient has four core practices: Commercial, Competitor Intelligence, Medical, and Value, Pricing and Access. We specialise in supporting our biopharma clients in making insightful strategic choices for their products and portfolios. Our offerings are designed to anticipate and respond to competitive risk across the product life cycle – from early pipeline through post-launch – delivering timely insights and strategic implications that enable integrated decision making across competitive intelligence, marketing, medical and commercial functions.

When you join this exciting venture, you will work with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle, from discovery to loss of exclusivity, to help them unlock the full potential of their brands and portfolios.

About the Opportunity – Consultant

You will be part of a fast-growing, PE-backed business that enables motivated, high-performing individuals to make an impact and contribute to the company’s growth. In this role, you will apply your therapeutic, clinical and commercial understanding to support the development and commercialization strategies of our clients’ assets and portfolios. You will help project teams generate insight-led recommendations that enable leaders at top biopharma companies to “see around the corner” and make confident, well-informed business decisions. This role will focus on engagements in CVRM, R&I and infectious disease, so you will bring hands-on experience in one or more of these therapeutic areas and a working understanding of their competitive landscapes, treatment paradigms and development pipelines.

You will need strong project management, communication and client-facing skills, as you will work closely with Engagement Managers, Directors and our global analysis team to deliver high-quality strategic work effectively and efficiently. You will contribute to shaping the story, structuring analysis, and ensuring the clarity and robustness of outputs.

You will bring an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset to your work, supporting the client, the business and your project team. Over time, you will build your presence as a credible strategic partner to client stakeholders, with guidance and oversight from senior Prescient leaders.

As many clients are based in the US, this role requires a solid understanding of the evolving US biopharmaceutical landscape and key market trends, and an eagerness to deepen this knowledge continually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Support the design and execution of projects that address clients’ strategic business questions, ensuring analyses, deliverables and insights meet high standards of quality and client satisfaction
  • Account Support: Contribute to account planning by identifying opportunities to add value through project delivery, maintaining strong working relationships with client contacts and helping strengthen Prescient’s presence within existing accounts
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to proposal development, background research and scoping discussions
  • Project Management: Manage discrete workstreams and day-to-day project activities, including research, evidence collection, data analysis, synthesis of insights, direct client interaction, and preparation and delivery of client presentations and reports
  • Client Management: Participate in client meetings, support the communication of findings and collaborate with project leadership to ensure clients experience best-in-class service
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Leverage your expertise across CVRM, R&I and/or infectious disease, bringing therapeutic, clinical and commercial insight to client engagements in these areas; share emerging insights with the team, and support Analysts in understanding key scientific and commercial concepts
  • Conference Support: Attend relevant medical congresses in CVRM, R&I and infectious disease (e.g., ACC, AHA, ESC, ATS, ERS, AAAAI, IDWeek, ESCMID Global) where appropriate to gather insights, engage with experts, and support the team in capturing and synthesizing key learnings from presentations, posters and booths
  • Team Development: Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting junior team members, offering guidance on analytical approaches and helping maintain a high standard of structured, impactful insights

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant experience within the biopharmaceutical consulting, healthcare strategy or related client-services environment; CI experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, renal and metabolism (CVRM); respiratory and immunology (R&I); or infectious disease. This should include an understanding of the disease areas, standard of care, key competitors and pipeline dynamics, gained through consulting, competitive intelligence, industry or academic roles
  • Strong results orientation, demonstrated by:
    • Consistently producing high-quality deliverables and contributing effectively to project outcomes
    • Successfully managing client relationships through clear communication and strong stakeholder alignment
  • Solid foundational knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry, especially clinical development, regulatory pathways and the commercial landscape within CVRM, R&I and/or infectious disease
