Senior Consultant - Epic - Professional Billing (PB)

Huron’s Healthcare Transformation Services (HDTx) team works with healthcare organizations to solve their most complex EHR challenges, so we are constantly searching for skilled technical consultants to help our clients maximize their technology investments. Our Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience leveraging their technical expertise to help our clients enhance their EHR platform to improve care delivery, patient outcomes and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Epic PB optimization and other project-based initiatives
• Complete regulatory-related Epic build and updates
• Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
• Troubleshoot PB issues and recommend effective solutions
• Partner with the client IT team while independently managing assigned work
• Provide knowledgeable, hands-on support throughout the engagement

Requirements

• Current Epic certification in Professional Billing (PB)
• Strong hands-on Epic PB build, configuration, and optimization experience
• Experience supporting regulatory build and system updates
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently assess issues and drive work through completion
• Highly self-directed and comfortable working with minimal oversight or "hand holding"
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing IT environment

Preferences

• Epic Charge Router certification and/or strong Charge Router experience
• Previous experience supporting complex Epic PB optimization initiatives
• Experience working within organizations undergoing IT operational transitions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Consulting experience supporting healthcare organizations through optimization or stabilization efforts

The estimated base hourly rate range for this job will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental and vision coverage, and other wellness programs. The rate range of information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
