The Role
- Ensuring clients are successful in achieving their research objectives by guiding them through research design, preparing customised reports and data analysis that will provide them accurate and actionable data.
- Providing in-person, written and in-app guidance to clients, enabling them to conduct their research independently.
- Developing systems and processes to maintain and track client satisfaction, providing them with helpful guidance in a timely manner.
- Building & maintaining relationships with past and current clients, to enable us to better identify and be able to assist with their future research needs.
- Own cross-team communication with different teams in the company, representing CS and client needs as a key stakeholder, and driving requests through to deliver.
- Experience: minimum of 5 years experience in Market Research.
- Research Design: Lead end-to-end study design, including survey crafting and defining the right target audience based on research objectives. Advise clients on the best approach, not just execute the brief.
- Data Analysis: Turn quantitative data into clear, actionable insights and recommended next steps. Review and QA others' work for accuracy.
- Cross-Category Expertise: Confident across multiple industries (e.g. FMCG, telco, insurance) and able to bring category knowledge and benchmarks into client conversations.
- Technical Writing: Written guidance in the form of research and product knowledge-related articles, step-by-step guides etc.
- Prompt Engineering & AI Exploration: Design, test and refine prompts for research workflows. Lead exploratory AI work for the Product & Engineering team, pressure-testing features and giving practical, client-grounded feedback.
- Relationship Management: Own the client relationship end to end, from project delivery through to follow-up, re-engagement and outreach to grow the account.
- Communication & Presentation: Present findings confidently to senior client stakeholders and handle challenging questions.
- Cross-Team Communication: Act as the key bridge between Customer Success and all teams, including Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Platform/Product. Represent client and CS needs as a stakeholder, prioritise requests and drive them through to delivery.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently while overseeing and supporting the workload of junior team members.
- Problem Solving: Keep a cool head when things don't go according to plan or timelines are tight. Organise feedback from other departments and stakeholders to the client, and come up with creative and workable solutions or workarounds.
- Leadership: Coach and mentor junior team members, and set standards for quality and ways of working.
- Fluency in English.
- Residence permit in Malaysia.
- Teaching experience of any kind, or experience with guiding others through a class, process, or some sort of learning.
- Experience working in a research agency.
- Startup Mindset: Open to experimenting. Most of our work follows set processes, but some areas are still being built, so you should be comfortable testing new approaches and adapting as we learn.
- Basic knowledge working with CRM (preferably Hubspot).
- Experience with research or data analytics software.
- Academic qualifications that cover quantitative research, with qualitative research being an added bonus.
- Fluency in Malay and / or Mandarin.
