About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Container Runtime Security Specialist to strengthen the security of containerized applications and cloud-native infrastructure. The successful candidate will design and implement runtime protection strategies, detect suspicious container behavior, mitigate security vulnerabilities, and establish robust security controls across Kubernetes and container environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for container runtimes and cloud-native workloads.
  • Monitor container activity to detect suspicious processes, unauthorized access, privilege escalation, and anomalous behavior.
  • Configure and optimize runtime security tools and platforms such as Falco, Tetragon, or comparable technologies.
  • Integrate container security monitoring with Kubernetes clusters, SIEM platforms, logging systems, and incident response workflows.
  • Investigate container security alerts, analyze runtime events, and coordinate remediation of identified threats.
  • Establish policies for least-privilege execution, container isolation, Linux capabilities, seccomp profiles, and mandatory access controls.
  • Assess container images, dependencies, configurations, and runtime environments for security weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, cloud security, and application development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop automated security checks, runtime detection rules, response playbooks, and compliance reporting procedures.
  • Support vulnerability management, security assessments, penetration testing activities, and incident investigations.
  • Review Kubernetes security configurations, admission controls, secrets management, and workload identity practices.
  • Maintain security documentation, technical standards, incident reports, and continuous improvement plans.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in cloud security, container security, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Linux internals, process isolation, namespaces, control groups, system calls, and container runtime architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, or comparable container technologies.
  • Familiarity with runtime security tools such as Falco, Tetragon, Aqua Security, Sysdig, or equivalent platforms.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security, RBAC, network policies, admission controls, and workload isolation.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST guidance, and relevant cloud security practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD security integration, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with distributed teams in a remote environment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation based on qualifications and professional experience.
  • A 100% remote working arrangement with flexible coordination across distributed teams.
  • Opportunities to strengthen security across modern container and cloud-native environments.
  • A collaborative environment focused on innovation, security excellence, and continuous professional development.
