At Holiday Inn Club Vacations, we believe in strengthening families. And we look for people who exhibit the courage, caring and creativity to help us become the most loved brand in family travel. We’re committed to growing our people, memberships, resorts and guest love. That’s why we need individuals who are passionate in life and bring those qualities to work every day. Do you instill confidence, trust and respect in those around you? Do you encourage success and build relationships? If so, we’re looking for you.

As Senior Copywriter, you’ll turn business objectives, audience insights and channel strategy into high-performing, brand-focused concepts and copy across lifecycle marketing, digital experiences, paid media, sales materials and other priority touchpoints. You’ll use generative AI thoughtfully to expand ideas, accelerate iteration and improve workflows, while bringing the human judgment and editorial rigor exceptional work demands.

This senior individual-contributor role calls for a versatile writer who can develop campaign ideas, sharpen conversion-focused copy, build testable variations and translate performance data into smarter creative. You’ll partner with strategy, design, CRM, Marketing Technology, analytics, legal and business stakeholders to continuously improve the work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Performance Creative & Conversion Copywriting - Develop concepts and write persuasive, audience-first copy across email, landing pages, web, paid social, display, direct mail, video scripts, sales materials and other integrated channels. Translate briefs, offers, audience insights and journey strategy into clear message hierarchies, channel-right executions and cohesive campaign systems. Create modular copy, variations and personalization-ready messaging that support testing, segmentation and efficient production without sacrificing craft.
  • AI-Enabled Craft & Workflow - Use approved generative AI tools for ideation, research synthesis, message exploration, variation development, editing and production support — always with accountable human review. Build, test and improve reusable prompts, workflows and quality checks that help the team move faster and produce stronger, more consistent work. Evaluate AI-assisted content for accuracy, originality, bias, privacy, legal risk, brand safety and strategic fit; recognize when AI is not the right tool. Stay current on relevant tools and practices, and recommend practical applications based on creative value, performance potential and responsible-use standards.
  • Brand & Editorial Excellence - Protect and evolve the brand voice across human-written and AI-assisted work, applying established editorial, lexicon, accessibility and claims guidance. Edit your own and others’ work with exceptional attention to clarity, grammar, tone, hierarchy and the customer experience. Balance conversion goals with trust, warmth and long-term brand equity, especially in high-visibility or regulated communications.
  • Measurement, Testing & Optimization - Partner with Strategy, CRM, Marketing Technology and Analytics to define copy hypotheses, success metrics and test plans before work launches. Use results such as click-through, conversion, engagement and downstream behavior to identify patterns, refine messaging and recommend the next test. Document and share creative learnings so proven insights improve future briefs, campaigns and channel standards.
  • Collaboration & Creative Leadership - Partner with art directors, designers and channel teams from concept through production to ensure copy and visual ideas work as one. Present concepts and copy rationale clearly, respond constructively to feedback and advocate for the audience and the strategic objective. Mentor writers, share performance and AI learnings, and help build a culture of experimentation, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Scope Factors - Reports to the Senior Manager, Copy and serves as a senior individual contributor; this role does not require direct people management. Works across multiple business units, channels and stages of the customer journey, managing competing priorities and fast-moving timelines.
  • Exercises independent judgment on concept development, copy recommendations, AI-assisted workflows and performance optimization within established brand, legal and business guardrails.
  • May lead project workstreams, mentor other writers and represent Copy in cross-functional planning and creative reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of professional copywriting experience in an in-house creative team, agency or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, polished writing and performance-focused work across multiple digital channels; email and landing-page experience is especially valuable.
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools to improve creative development or content workflows, including prompt design, output evaluation and responsible human review.
  • Experience developing copy for A/B or multivariate testing and using performance results to guide iteration.
  • Experience collaborating with designers, strategists, marketers, analysts, legal partners and senior stakeholders from brief through launch.
  • Travel, hospitality, membership, loyalty, financial services or another customer-experience-led or regulated industry.
  • Lifecycle marketing, CRM, personalization or high-volume content operations.
  • Building prompt libraries, custom AI assistants, editorial guardrails or team enablement for responsible AI adoption.
  • Working knowledge of conversion copywriting, behavioral principles, accessibility and search-informed content practices.

Other skills:

  • Exceptional command of language, storytelling, persuasion, grammar and editorial standards. Ability to move fluidly between big-picture concepts and precise, detail-oriented execution. Strong creative judgment: knows when to follow data, when to challenge assumptions and how to distinguish a meaningful insight from noise.
  • Fluency in performance marketing fundamentals, including audience, offer, funnel stage, message hierarchy, call to action and test design. Curiosity about emerging technology paired with healthy skepticism, sound judgment and respect for privacy, intellectual property and brand safety. Clear communicator and confident presenter who can explain creative choices in strategic and business terms. Highly organized, collaborative and resilient; able to prioritize work, incorporate feedback and maintain quality under deadline.
  • Physical Demands, Primarily office-based work that involves extended periods of sitting and computer use. Regular participation in in-person and virtual meetings, presentations and collaborative working sessions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Working Conditions, This is a hybrid, mostly in-office role. The current schedule is four days per week in the office and one remote day, subject to business needs and company policy.
