Overview
We are looking for a Senior B2B Copywriter to work on one of our Financial Services clients. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in creating complex financial content targeting key decision-makers at businesses, corporations and institutional investors worldwide. The role requires the ability to translate technical topics into clear, credible and engaging long- and short-form content. Outputs range from in-depth white papers, thought leadership articles, newsletters and website copy to email, videos, social media, infographics and sales support.
The priority is an editorially focused creative writer who understands the specific needs and nuances of distinct business and institutional audience segments, and effectively tailors messaging to be insightful, accessible and impactful without oversimplifying.
Responsibilities
- Writes compelling long- and short-form financial services content tailored to key decision-makers at businesses and institutions of every type and size.
- Shapes research, data and subject-matter expertise into a clear narrative with a logical structure, a distinct point of view and supporting evidence. Preserves accuracy and nuance while giving readers a useful takeaway—not simply a summary of the source material.
- Brings editorial craft and conceptual thinking to each assignment, adapting tone and depth to the audience.
- Collaborates with creative, strategy, account and technology partners to deliver cohesive work.
- Adept at working with technical subject matter experts, including bank research analysts, product and industry specialists.
- Maintains source accuracy, brand voice and meticulous attention to detail; incorporates client, legal and compliance feedback.
- Presents work clearly, builds on feedback and manages multiple assignments and deadlines.
Qualifications
A four-year degree and at least eight years of copywriting experience.
Portfolio focus: In-depth acumen in financial services, B2B communications or industry thought leadership, well versed in both long- and short-form writing.
Core capabilities: Excellent research, writing, editing and storytelling skills; an ability to make complex financial information accessible and engaging.
Working style: Curiosity, energy, humor and can-do attitude with candid, respectful collaboration. Prioritize smart thinking, highly-informed ideas and creative problem-solving over awards.
Additional asset: Familiarity with prompt-based generative AI tools for ideation, research and drafting, with fact-checking and adherence to client and agency policies.
Note: We work a 4 day/week hybrid schedule.
