The world still has coverage blind spots. You could help eliminate them at Skylo.

Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites. No special hardware, no entirely new networks. Just billions of existing devices, suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. We're not building toward this future. We're already in it.

Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. And we're just getting started.

At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible.

When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.

This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SKYLO:

We are seeking an experienced in-house Paralegal to run the day-to-day operating engine of Skylo’s legal function. This is a hands-on operations role, not a research role. The successful candidate will own our legal intake tool (Streamline) end to end, run the routine workflows that keep the business moving, including contract intake and triage, signature routing, execution and filing, and maintain the corporate records, trackers and knowledge repositories that a growing global company depends on. You will be the person who makes legal fast and findable, reducing the time from request to signature, eliminating the “where is that contract?” question, and building the templates and self-service resources that let the business answer its own routine questions without waiting on a lawyer.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Legal Intake Ownership: Own Streamline as the system administrator and process owner. Triage inbound requests, assign and prioritize matters, chase missing information, enforce SLAs, and keep the queue clean. Configure intake forms, routing rules, approval paths and templates as the business evolves.

  • Contract Lifecycle Administration: Run the routine contract workflow end to end. Prepare and populate templates (NDAs, DPAs, vendor and procurement agreements, order forms, SOWs, amendments), route for internal review and approval, manage the signature process through DocuSign, confirm full execution, and file the final version correctly.

  • Signature Routing and Execution: Serve as the owner of signature workflows. Verify signatory authority against the approval matrix, build and send envelopes, track status, follow up on stalled signatures, and confirm counterparty execution. Maintain the signature authority matrix and escalate exceptions.

  • Contract Repository and Records: Maintain the contract repository as the single source of truth, with consistent naming, complete metadata (counterparty, effective date, term, renewal and notice dates, governing law, key commercial terms), correct permissions, and no orphaned drafts. Drive the cleanup and migration of legacy agreements.

  • Legal Trackers and Reporting: Build and maintain the trackers Legal and the business rely on, covering matter status, contract pipeline, renewal and expiration calendars, obligations and deliverables, outside counsel spend, and compliance deadlines. Produce recurring reporting on volume, cycle time and bottlenecks, and use it to propose fixes.

  • Entity and Corporate Records: Maintain corporate records across Skylo’s US and international entities, including board and stockholder minutes, written consents and resolutions, organizational documents, minute books, registered agent coordination, annual reports, business licenses and qualifications to do business. Support board and stockholder meeting logistics, prepare and circulate signature packets, and maintain the corporate calendar.

  • Knowledge Repositories and Enablement: Build and continuously improve Skylo’s legal knowledge base, including playbooks, fallback positions, template libraries, FAQs, process guides, and self-service resources on Confluence. Keep them current so the business can resolve routine questions without a lawyer in the loop.

  • Workflow Design and Continuous Improvement: Map existing legal processes, find the friction, and redesign them. Automate handoffs and reminders, retire manual steps, standardize the path from intake to signature, and measure the result. Document every process you own so it survives you.

  • Intellectual Property Docket Support: Maintain the IP docket in coordination with outside counsel, covering patent and trademark filing and response deadlines, prosecution status, invention disclosure tracking, and renewal and maintenance dates.

  • Compliance and Privacy Support: Support recurring compliance obligations, including DPA and privacy paperwork, vendor and security questionnaires, policy attestations and acknowledgments, insurance certificates, and audit and diligence requests. Maintain the evidence trail.

  • Outside Counsel and Vendor Coordination: Act as the operational interface to outside counsel and legal vendors, handling engagement letters and conflict checks, matter budgets, invoice intake and review against billing guidelines, accrual support, and spend reporting.

  • Diligence, Litigation and Records Retention: Assemble and maintain diligence data rooms for financing, partnership and audit processes. Support legal holds, document collection and preservation, subpoena and third-party request handling, and administer the records retention schedule.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work daily with Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Finance, People Ops, Engineering and Network Operations, and with colleagues across Mountain View, Espoo and India, to keep legal requests moving and expectations clear.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate. ABA-approved paralegal program, NALA (CP/ACP) or NFPA (RP) certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience, with meaningful time in-house at a technology company. Law firm corporate or commercial experience is valued, but this role is operational and in-house in character.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a legal intake, matter management or contract lifecycle management platform, including configuring it, administering it, and driving adoption. Experience with Streamline, Ironclad, LinkSquares, Agiloft, Evisort, SimpleLegal or similar is a strong plus.

  • Hands-on experience running signature workflows at volume in DocuSign or Adobe Sign, including template and envelope configuration and signature authority verification.

  • Working familiarity with commercial contracts such as NDAs, vendor and procurement agreements, DPAs, SOWs, order forms and amendments, and the judgment to prepare routine documents from playbooks and know when to escalate to counsel.

  • Experience maintaining corporate records and entity management for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction company, including board consents, minute books and annual filings.

  • Strong systems fluency across Google Workspace, Confluence and Jira, DocuSign and e-billing tools, with comfort building trackers, dashboards and lightweight automations. You reach for a better process rather than a longer to-do list.

  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with a proven record of managing a high-volume queue against deadlines and never dropping the thread.

  • Clear, concise written communication and the professional judgment to handle confidential and privileged information with discretion.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving company where the process does not fully exist yet, and building it as you go.

  • Experience supporting satellite, telecommunications, IoT, semiconductor or other technology and hardware businesses is a plus. Exposure to privacy, export control, IP docketing or equity administration is a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate across US, European and Indian time zones, with occasional flexibility for early or late calls.
