Senior Creative Strategist – Experience Design (XD)
Who You Are
You are a dynamic strategist and a human-centered design leader who seamlessly bridges brand vision with tangible customer touchpoints. You recognize that brand and user experience are deeply interconnected: the impression a brand leaves is shaped by the ease and impact of its digital products, campaigns, and service experiences. You thrive in ambiguity, quickly translating complex business goals into clear human-centered design (HCD) approaches, and utilize behavioral insights to build alignment among senior stakeholders. As a hands-on leader, you excel as facilitator, architect, and player-coach. Whether leading executive innovation sprints in the morning, mapping omnichannel journeys in the afternoon, or refining a strategic pitch narrative by evening, you bring creative leadership to every challenge.
What You’ll Do
Roles & Responsibilities:
Holistic Experience & Brand Strategy: Integrate brand identity with customer experience (CX/UX), ensuring every brand promise translates into intuitive, consistent interactions across all digital, service, and marketing touchpoints.
Design Thinking & Workshop Leadership: Design and lead high-impact client workshops—including discovery sessions, vision sprints, journey mapping labs, and ideation workshops—to identify user challenges and align executive stakeholders.
Journey & Touchpoint Architecture: Develop and refine essential design artifacts, such as end-to-end customer journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem diagrams, empathy maps, and low-fidelity concept flows.
Creative & Deliverable Oversight: Serve as the quality and strategic benchmark for multidisciplinary teams (brand designers, UI/UX designers, copywriters, technologists), ensuring deliverables align with strategic goals.
Customer & Market Insights: Direct qualitative research (customer interviews, contextual inquiry, sentiment analysis) and combine it with quantitative data to drive informed decisions and discover new opportunities.
Actionable Strategic Briefs: Create focused, inspiring briefs and experience principles that clarify user needs, brand tone, technical constraints, and business KPIs for creative and product teams.
Client Partnership & Advisory: Act as a strategic partner for enterprise clients, advocating for human-centered methodologies and guiding concepts through stakeholder approvals.
Sales & Business Development: Collaborate with sales and account teams to craft proposals, shape strategic approaches, and present ideas that win and grow business.
AI & Modern Workflow Integration: Employ AI tools to accelerate research, audit touchpoints, explore scenarios, and fuel conceptual brainstorming.
Practice Leadership & Mentorship: Elevate the Experience Design practice by enhancing workshop toolkits, developing strategic frameworks, and mentoring peers in design critique.
What You’ll Bring
Capabilities:
Omnichannel Ecosystem Thinking: Expertise in how brand strategy, content, UI/UX, and touchpoints interact across web, mobile, and campaign platforms.
Master Facilitator: Demonstrated leadership in guiding stakeholders through design thinking frameworks and towards actionable outcomes.
Hands-On Craft: An active contributor who shapes frameworks, analyzes research, maps journeys, and co-creates with design teams.
Insight-Led Storytelling: Strong ability to distill complex insights into compelling, strategic narratives for senior leadership.
Player-Coach: Capability to lead, critique, and maintain high standards within fast-paced multidisciplinary teams.
Global Collaboration: Comfortable working with distributed, cross-functional teams across strategy, design, engineering, and delivery.
Tools & Skills:
Collaboration Platforms: Proficient in FigJam, Miro, or Mural for facilitating online and hybrid workshops.
Design Tools: Skilled in Figma and presentation software (Slides, PowerPoint).
Research Synthesis: Experienced in qualitative research, customer interview analysis, and persona development.
AI Tools: Familiarity with generative AI for research, audience simulation, and brainstorming.
Role Breakdown & Success Metrics:
Utilization Target: 70–85% on billable client engagements (strategy, workshops, touchpoint oversight)
Internal & Growth: 15–30% on practice development, workshop templates, pitches, and mentoring
Management Scope: Player-coach (direct oversight, critique, and workshop leadership)
Success Metrics: Client CSAT, alignment speed, workshop NPS, repeat engagements
