Sureserve is a trusted partner for housing associations, local authorities, and residents, delivering high-quality compliance and energy services. Our focus on energy efficiency, safe and compliant homes, and enhanced quality of life makes us a leader in the industry. With nationwide reach, regional expertise, and a commitment to excellent service, we are well-positioned to support our clients now and in the future.

Are you an experienced Cyber Security professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We're looking for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to help protect and strengthen our organisation's security posture while supporting the day-to-day operation of our Cyber Security function.

Working closely with the Group Head of Cyber Resilience and Security, you'll play a key role in responding to security incidents, managing cyber risks, improving security controls, and helping ensure compliance with industry standards. This is a hands-on role that offers a blend of technical security operations, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll be doing
  • Investigating and responding to cyber security incidents, helping to coordinate effective containment and resolution

  • Monitoring and improving security controls, processes, and ways of working

  • Supporting vulnerability management activities and working with technical teams to reduce security risks

  • Conducting security and risk assessments across projects, systems, and third-party suppliers

  • Helping maintain compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials

  • Contributing to security awareness initiatives and promoting a positive security culture across the business

  • Working with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to provide security guidance and support

  • Acting as a key point of contact within the Cyber Security team and providing support to junior team members when required

What we're looking for
  • Proven experience within a Cyber Security role, ideally covering security operations, incident response, risk, and vulnerability management

  • Experience investigating security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activity using security tools and technologies

  • Knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Sentinel

  • A good understanding of identity and access management, networking, cloud services, endpoint security, and enterprise security best practices

  • Experience supporting security compliance and governance activities

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences

  • The confidence to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike

Desirable

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CySA+, SC-200, or similar would be advantageous, although practical experience and the ability to demonstrate real-world cyber security expertise are more important.

Why join us?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Cyber Security function where you'll have the chance to influence security improvements, contribute to key initiatives, and play an important role in protecting the organisation from evolving cyber threats. Working within a supportive team, you'll be given the opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact across the business.
