To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience implementing and supporting enterprise cyber security services across identity, endpoint, network, cloud, application and data protection.
- Strong technical expertise in security monitoring, vulnerability management and cyber incident response.

- A strong understanding of the NSW Cyber Security Policy, Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
- Experience developing security standards, procedures and technical guidance, and embedding security into technology projects and operations.
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and provide trusted, risk-based advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach to working with ICT teams, business stakeholders, government agencies and technology providers.
- A commitment to mentoring junior practitioners, sharing knowledge and strengthening organisational cyber resilience.
- An appreciation of the needs of a volunteer-based emergency service organisation.
- An Advanced Diploma or Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent expertise.
- Industry-recognised cyber security certification(s), or the demonstrated ability to obtain them.
- A current driver licence and willingness to travel.
