EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting EnergyCo’s Project Management Office by transforming complex project data into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making. Working across major renewable energy and infrastructure programs, you will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, integrate data from multiple sources, and provide analysis across project performance, cost, schedule, risk, safety and governance. You will partner closely with project teams and stakeholders to improve reporting capability, identify trends and opportunities, and support the successful delivery of some of NSW’s most significant energy infrastructure initiatives.

A key focus of the role is building the data and reporting foundations that will enable future AI-assisted reporting and analytics capabilities. You will help shape scalable, trusted data solutions that support emerging technologies and enhance organisational decision-making.

About You
You are a proactive and analytical data professional with strong experience developing insightful dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL. You have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Fabric to ingest, transform and integrate data from multiple business systems, building reliable data pipelines and trusted datasets that support enterprise reporting and analytics. You enjoy working with complex datasets, turning information into practical insights and finding innovative ways to improve reporting processes through automation, technology and data-driven innovation.

With a keen eye for detail, you take pride in producing accurate, reliable and high-quality analytics that support business outcomes. You are also a collaborative communicator who can engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You build strong working relationships, understand customer needs and can clearly explain complex information to support informed decision-making. Adaptable and solutions-focused, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects that will help shape NSW's energy future.
