Senior Data Architect / Fabric Specialist

This is a remote position.

• Design architecture based on Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
  
• Implement scalable ETL/ELT processes, historical loads, incremental loads, and CDC.
  
• Configure and manage Fabric Capacity.
  
• Ensure data governance through Microsoft Purview.
  
• Optimize Delta tables (Partitioning, Optimize/Z-Order/V-Order).
  
• Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, SFTP, ERP, SQL Server, ADLS Gen2).
  
• Manage access control, auditing, traceability, and data quality.
  
• Document processes and architectures clearly.
  
• Collaborate with BI, Data Quality teams, and business users.
  

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Pipelines.
  
• Strong SQL and Python skills (essential for Notebooks).
  
• Expertise in Delta Lake and Parquet formats.
  
• Familiarity with access control, error handling, and reprocessing.
  

• Fabric Data Factory (Pipelines) and prior experience with Azure Data Factory / Synapse.
  
• Fabric Data Engineering (Spark) with experience in Databricks / Synapse.
  
• Power BI (advanced semantic modeling, Direct Lake).
  
• PySpark, advanced SQL, Power Query / Dataflows Gen2.
  
• Git / Azure DevOps (version control, deployment pipelines).
  
• Governance and security in Fabric (Workspaces, Roles, OneSecurity).
  

• Knowledge of Data Activator for real-time responses.
  
• Familiarity with Copilot in Fabric.
