Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our remote team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems to support our data-driven applications and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, along with expertise in big data technologies, ETL processes, and data modeling. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses and data lakes. Design and optimize data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of data. Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability issues, and implement solutions as needed. Stay updated with the latest data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices. Mentor junior data engineers and provide guidance on data engineering best practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a focus on building data pipelines and systems. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Flink. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases. Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
