Job Description

Are you a Databricks expert? We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong Python and Databricks experience to join our Data Team and play a key role in driving our company toward a more data-driven future.

The role

Your work will have a direct impact on product development, customer support processes, and overall business strategy. What you'll actually do

  • Build a cloud-based platform that will be the foundation for our reporting suite and internal data systems.
  • Develop incremental ELT pipelines using Python and PySpark.
  • Continually improve Delta Lakehouse for high efficiency, throughput, and quality of data.
  • Work on data lineage, catalogue, and governance.
  • Ensure good engineering and programming practices among the whole team by enforcing: testing, CI/CD, development environment, code reviews, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Cooperate with Data Engineers and other data-related roles and provide engineering mentorship.
  • Develop standard methodologies and lay out processes for data projects.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Databricks & Data processing — Strong working knowledge of Databricks and hands-on experience with processing tabular data (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, Polars).
  • Experience — 3+ years of commercial experience with Python and SQL.
  • API integration — Experience with fetching data from various APIs.
  • Cloud platforms — Hands-on work in a cloud environment.
  • Deployment — Proficiency with deploying production-grade applications.
  • DevOps tools — Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and Bash.
  • Communication — Very good communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Teamwork — Excellent team player who embraces teamwork and mutual support.
  • Languages — Fluency in Polish (C1+) and strong command of English (B2+) required.

→ Nice to have

  • Background — Previous experience in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role.
  • Database management — Experience working with or managing databases / data warehouses.
  • Spark — Commercial experience with Spark.
  • Infrastructure as Code — Understanding of Terraform.

Contract terms: B2B cooperation. Monthly compensation range: 23,000–27,000 PLN net, depending on experience and the agreed scope of services.
