Are you a data migration expert who thrives at the intersection of technical detail and business clarity?
We're searching for a senior consultant who can lead complex data migrations in the banking sector someone with strong technical chops and the consulting polish to guide senior stakeholders through mission-critical decisions.
This is a key role within a high-profile transformation program. You'll be hands-on in solution design and execution, while also advising clients on best practices, roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies. Your ability to translate technical migration paths into boardroom clarity will set you apart.
Key Responsibilities
Lead data migration planning and execution
across large-scale banking platforms (core systems, reporting layers, regulatory datasets, etc.)
Engage directly with
senior business and technical stakeholders
to define migration scope, approach, and success criteria
Analyse existing data landscapes and
develop fit-for-purpose migration strategies
, aligned to business risk appetite and timelines
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and PMs to ensure
seamless migration delivery
across multiple phases
Serve as the
trusted advisor
to clients guiding them through critical decision points on tooling, sequencing, validation, and cutover
Identify risks, dependencies, and remediation strategies across the migration lifecycle
Prepare and present
clear, concise migration plans and status updates
to executive audiences
Ensure alignment with regulatory, privacy, and data governance frameworks
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience:
Proven track record delivering
end-to-end data migrations
in banking or financial services (at least 8+ years total experience)
Deep familiarity with
data structures, ETL tools, cleansing/validation
, and cutover strategies
Strong capability in
stakeholder management
across business, operations, and IT
Experience working in
consulting-style environments
or internal transformation teams
Excellent documentation, reporting, and
executive-level communication skills
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with
core banking migrations
, finance systems, or data warehouse/cloud migrations
Familiarity with tools such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Collibra, or similar
Understanding of data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks in regulated environments
