Senior Data Scientist

Role Description The Senior Data Scientist role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with the flexibility to perform some work from home. The Senior Data Scientist will design and implement data-driven solutions that support training programs, digital transformation initiatives, and consulting projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing complex datasets, building predictive and prescriptive models, and developing dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, define analytical approaches, validate model performance, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. The Senior Data Scientist will also mentor junior team members, contribute to data strategy and best practices, and help integrate advanced analytics into Nova Mind Business Technology’s services.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Data Science skills, including experience with machine learning techniques, model development, and deployment.
• Candidates should possess solid Statistics skills to design experiments, perform hypothesis testing, and ensure rigorous analytical methodologies.
• Candidates should possess Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills for working with diverse datasets, deriving insights, and supporting decision-making.
• Candidates should possess Data Visualization skills to create clear, interactive dashboards and reports using modern visualization tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience applying analytics in an educational, consulting, or digital transformation context is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage part-time workload effectively, and collaborate within hybrid on-site/remote teams in Dubai.
