Senior Data Steward

Hiring: Senior Data Steward | Manhattan, NY | Remote Considered

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Steward with strong expertise in enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, and modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will establish governance standards, define data ownership and quality controls, and collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure trusted data for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Location: Manhattan, New York (Open to Remote)

Experience: 6–12 Years

Work Authorization: USC & GC Candidates Only

Key Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, data quality, or data management
• Experience building or maturing enterprise-wide data governance capabilities
• Strong knowledge of data ownership, critical data elements (CDEs), business definitions, glossaries, and data dictionaries
• Experience defining data contracts, quality standards, SLAs, schema-change controls, and producer-consumer accountability
• Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, data classification, privacy, and access governance
• Experience classifying PII and sensitive data and implementing data protection controls
• Working knowledge of SQL, data profiling, and root-cause analysis
• Experience with enterprise data catalog/governance platforms such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
• Exposure to AWS and modern cloud data platforms
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across Business, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Risk teams

Good to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and AWS
• Media and streaming domain experience, including content, audience, advertising, subscriptions, customer identity, or digital engagement
• Experience supporting cloud modernization and governed analytics or AI initiatives
