About the Role We're looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join Paysafe's Database Solutions Team in Sofia. You'll help manage and optimize mission-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL databases across Europe and North America, working with cloud infrastructure, automation, high-availability solutions, and large-scale production environments. What You'll Do Administer and support Oracle 19c and PostgreSQL databases across development, test, DR, and production environments. Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, replication, security, and performance solutions. Automate operational processes and improve database reliability and efficiency. Lead troubleshooting efforts, root cause investigations, and major incident resolution. Perform backup/recovery, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities. Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams on business-critical database initiatives. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation supporting mission-critical systems. Contribute to continuous improvement across monitoring, automation, and database operations. What You'll Bring: Required: Extensive experience administering Oracle databases in large-scale production environments. Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate, AWS DMS, and Oracle Exadata. Experience supporting databases in AWS environments. Strong SQL, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation skills. Proven ability to resolve complex production incidents under pressure. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have: PostgreSQL administration experience. Experience in highly regulated environments. Exposure to globally distributed, highly available database platforms.
