Senior Delivery Consultant (Pre-Sales & Delivery) Remote-first role leading ActiveControl delivery for enterprise SAP clients, owning change management projects end to end - from requirements to hypercare. Full-time | Melbourne/Sydney or Remote in Aus | THE OPPORTUNITY Basis Technologies is looking for a Senior Delivery Consultant to join our APJ team. This is a remote-first role based out of Sydney or Melbourne, as we do not run a fixed APJ office. This is a blended role. You will split your time between pre-sales support, helping prospective customers understand how Klario works and building the case for change, and hands-on delivery, implementing Klario, as well as ActiveControl, and managing SAP change execution through to go-live and beyond. This role gives you exposure across the full customer lifecycle rather than one narrow lane. Klario is built AI first, so day to day you will be working alongside AI-guided workflows as part of delivery, not just traditional SAP tooling. We are not looking for an AI engineer. We are looking for an experienced SAP practitioner who is genuinely curious about how AI is changing the way SAP change is planned, validated and delivered, and who wants to help shape that at Basis Technologies. What You Can Expect To Do Delivery and Implementation Lead the implementation and configuration of ActiveControl and Klario across customer SAP estates, including containerised and multi-layered environments. Own project delivery independently: scope, timelines and client outcomes, with minimal oversight. Support deployment cutovers and post go-live (hypercare) stabilisation. Assess custom ABAP and Z-code to understand its purpose and identify migration or refactor options as part of Clean Core adoption. Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for delivery, troubleshooting and knowledge transfer. As the region's Klario footprint grows, expect this mix to shift increasingly toward ongoing upgrades and change management for live customers. Pre-Sales and Customer Engagement Support the sales team with product demonstrations and technical conversations for prospective APJ customers. Run or contribute to requirements and discovery workshops, structuring ambiguous business asks into clear, testable requirements. Help build the business case for change with prospective customers, articulating cost of inaction, risk and ROI to secure stakeholder buy-in. Represent Basis Technologies at regional SAP and industry events as needed. AI-Enabled Delivery Use Klario's AI-guided workflows as part of everyday delivery, facilitating and validating AI-proposed design options with clients rather than treating them as a black box. Bring a hands-on, inquisitive interest in AI tooling more broadly, with a willingness to build this into a growing part of the role over time. Is This Opportunity For You? Experience and Technical Skills Minimum 6 years experience in SAP consulting, or a similarly SAP-focused technical role. Minimum 5 years experience in SAP Basis, working with SAP transports and change and release management tools such as SAP Solution Manager ChaRM or SAP Cloud ALM. Strong understanding of SAP Basis administration, technical architecture, client management, and repository versus customising object concepts. Strong understanding of SAP role-based security. Knowledge of containerised deployment environments and multi-layered application architectures. Proven ability to manage projects independently, owning timelines, scope and client outcomes with minimal oversight. Excellent stakeholder management skills, and comfort presenting to and communicating directly with customers in demos, workshops and executive conversations. Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills, with a structured approach to root cause analysis and prevention. Experience supporting deployment cutovers and post go-live (hypercare) stabilisation. Working Style Genuinely open to a blended role, comfortable moving between pre-sales support and delivery work depending on regional demand rather than a single fixed lane. A real, demonstrable curiosity about AI tooling. Personal or professional exploration of how AI applies to your own work is a strong plus. Based in or willing to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a remote-first role with no fixed APJ office. Desirable (Nice To Have) Experience running requirements or discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders, structuring ambiguous business asks into clear, testable requirements. Ability to assess and improve requirement quality against criteria such as clarity, completeness, relevance and measurability. Working knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles, including the trade-offs between adopting the standard, side-by-side extensibility, and compliant refactoring. Experience assessing custom ABAP and Z-code to understand its purpose and identify migration or refactor options. Experience building a business case for change, articulating cost of inaction, risk or ROI to secure stakeholder buy-in. Comfort facilitating and validating outputs from AI-guided workflows, sanity-checking AI-proposed design options with clients rather than treating them as a black box. Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM as an integration point for requirements and design artefacts. Experience with ServiceNow, Jira or Azure DevOps integration with SAP. Experience with Fiori or SAP OData gateway. Knowledge of Agile Scrum, DevOps or similar delivery methodologies. Prior knowledge of or experience with ActiveControl.
