At Saucony, we exist at the intersection of culture and performance. While our history is rooted in the run, our future is defined by movement in all its forms. We don't just make shoes; we build the breakthroughs that move the industry forward and the styles that define the cultural conversation.

We’re a team that puts excellence first, and the experts agree. Recently, Fast Company named Saucony one of the Most Innovative Companies in the world, specifically honoring our IncrediRUN Foam as a major leap forward in footwear tech. Our reach extends from the track to the street, whether it's the Speed 5 being named “Best Overall” by WIRED or our iconic Shadow 5000 winning the Shop TODAY Sneaker Awards, we are consistently recognized as the gold standard for both performance and style.

The Senior Demand & Inventory Planner is a hybrid role within the Integrated Business Planning organization, with approximately 70% of the position focused on demand planning and 30% on inventory planning.

The role develops demand forecasts, analyzes forecast performance, and translates demand signals into actionable business insights. It also supports inventory planning and optimization to balance customer service, inventory investment, and financial objectives.

This position reports to the Demand Planning Manager, with a dotted-line relationship to the Inventory Planning Manager. Inventory planning responsibilities may expand as the individual develops additional expertise.

Primary Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple time horizons using statistical models, historical sales, market intelligence, and order book data.

• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identify the causes of forecast variance, and recommend corrective actions.

• Evaluate demand drivers, risks, and opportunities through scenario analysis.

• Present demand plans and recommendations to support IBP decision-making.

• Maintain forecasting models and planning system parameters.

• Improve forecasting methods, planning processes, automation, reporting, and analytical capabilities.

• Support forecasting standards, planning governance, and best practices.

Inventory Planning

• Monitor inventory health, service levels, inventory turns, and working capital performance.

• Analyze inventory across products, channels, and distribution centers to identify risks and opportunities.

• Support inventory strategies that balance customer service with inventory investment targets.

• Partner with Inventory Planning, Supply Planning, Sourcing, and Operations to address excess inventory, shortages, and supply-demand imbalances.

• Support inventory scenarios, reporting, and business reviews.

• Build expertise in inventory planning, performance metrics, and optimization methods.

Reporting and Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with Sales Planning, Finance, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, and Supply Planning to align demand assumptions and planning decisions.

• Communicate forecast changes, business risks, opportunities, and key demand drivers through the S&OP and IBP processes.

• Develop, maintain, and publish demand and inventory reports that provide actionable insights into brand health, historical trends, and performance against key metrics.

• Present findings and recommendations in a clear, structured, and data-driven manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, Statistics, or a related field.

• Three to five years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory planning, or a related analytical role.

• Strong forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Experience with SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Oracle, or a comparable planning platform.

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
