Senior Deployment and Security Architect

Jeppesen is looking for a Senior Deployment and Security Architect for our Digital Solutions & Analytics implementation department, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will communicateof the application and security architecture fo rhow our deployed solutions and configuration environments are designed with our customers and ensure the architecture is continuously improved working with internal stakeholders — spanning AWS, Customer Managed Deployments (CMD), and, for some projects, internal VM/RHEL-based servers. This is a senior, customer-facing architecture role built on a strong deployment and DevOps foundation, with a heavy focus on security architecture: you will be the trusted voice guiding customers and internal teams on how our standard solution is set up and secured.

What You'll Do

• Communicate the application and security architecture of our standard solution setup — the reference point for how deployments, configuration environments, and security controls are designed across AWS, CMD, and on-prem/VM-based infrastructure.
• Lead customer-facing discussions on solution and security architecture, guiding customers through how our standard solution is configured, why it is designed that way, and how it meets their security and compliance needs.
• Act as the go-to expert for customer security questionnaires and due-diligence requests, providing clear, accurate answers on how the product and platform work from a security and architecture standpoint.
• Guide and coach internal implementation and DevOps teams on secure deployment architecture, standards, and best practices, ensuring consistent application across projects.
• Partner closely with Product Architects to identify architecture and security improvement opportunities, and drive those improvement topics from idea through to adoption.
• Review and advise on deployment-related tooling, build pipelines, and configuration environments (AWS, CMD, on-prem/VM/RHEL) through an application and security architecture lens.
• Support the long-term move from VM/server-based configuration environments toward cloud-based, Kubernetes-driven deployments, embedding security and architecture principles from the start.
• Maintain clear architecture and security documentation for both customer-facing and internal use, and help define ways of working as part of a growing team.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of relevant experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, or platform engineering, with a strong and growing focus on application and security architecture
• Solid experience with AWS, including security-relevant services (IAM, KMS, networking/security groups, etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies (e.g., Docker), including container and platform security considerations
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, including data protection considerations
• Strong knowledge of cloud security and authentication/authorization concepts (e.g., OAuth, OIDC, SAML) and how to explain them to customers
• Experience responding to customer security questionnaires, audits, or due-diligence requests (e.g., SIG, CAIQ, or similar)
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills — comfortable guiding both customers and internal teams through architecture and security topics
• Advanced knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Valuable Skills and Experience

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty).
• Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• Experience with threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE) or architecture risk assessments.
• Experience with Jeppesen Crew or Operations planning applications and how they are deployed.
