As a Design Manager at Black & White Engineering, you will work across technically challenging projects within the data centre and wider infrastructure sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring design activities are aligned with programme requirements, client expectations and quality standards, while fostering collaboration between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across engineering projects.
- Develop and manage design programmes, ensuring deliverables are produced in line with project requirements and deadlines.
- Identify, manage and mitigate design risks, issues and project interfaces.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
- Monitor design progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and project objectives.
- Support design reviews, technical assurance processes and change management activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design management processes and delivery practices.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design activities within engineering or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, design coordination and interface management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and programme commitments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Experience identifying and managing design risks, issues and project dependencies.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving successful project outcomes.
