An exciting opportunity to join an industry-leading company in the nonprofit software market. At Enthuse, we’re on a mission to transform digital fundraising by building the technology that empowers great causes. Our donations, event registration, and fundraising platform helps thousands of charities raise millions. Launched in 2012, we’ve come a long way — we’ve grown the team to over 70 people and now serve thousands of charities. Enthuse is headquartered in London, with operations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. What's more, Enthuse is the official online fundraising partner for London Marathon Events and Great Run. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll pioneer the design of the experiences that align with our company's goals and also help build and grow a company of smart and passionate people. As our Senior Designer you will set the bar for how Enthuse looks, feels and works from the first donation tap on a mobile device to the charity admin deep in their dashboard. You’ll lead a small design team of two (including a Product Designer who will report to you) and partner closely with Engineering, Product and Marketing to ship experiences that are beautiful, accessible and commercially sharp. You’ll be accountable for our design philosophy end-to-end, bringing an informed point-of-view on how components, tokens and patterns need to evolve now that Gen AI is part of everyone’s toolkit. If you love the craft of design, think critically about systems, and are genuinely excited by what AI is doing for the discipline to complement human design taste, we want to meet you. How you’ll contribute Own the design craft across the product from product design flows and interaction patterns through to the visual language that shows up in every charity, fundraiser, donor and supporter touchpoint. Lead and grow a small team , line-managing our Product Designer and setting the standard for how we critique, ship, and learn from what we put in front of users. Own and evolve our design philosophy through components, tokens, documentation and the conversation about what the system is for . Bring opinions on where a system adds leverage, where it becomes a cage, and how that trade-off shifts when AI can generate interfaces on demand. Partner closely with Engineering to make sure what’s designed is what actually ships, understanding the constraints and affordances of a modern web stack, and working fluently with developers building in web components, modern JS frameworks and Tailwind. Use Gen AI as a genuine collaborator for exploration, prototyping, visual iteration and copy. We want someone with strong, concrete examples of how they’ve made AI part of their practice but kept their human taste. Champion accessibility, performance and inclusive design so that every charity and supporter, on every device, has a frictionless experience. Bring commercial judgement to design decisions, balancing craft, speed, and the business outcomes we care about. About you 5+ years of experience as a Product, Digital or UX/UI Designer, ideally with time spent in a fast-paced product environment shipping to real users at scale. Proven experience working with design systems you can talk credibly about the pros, cons, failure modes, and where you’ve seen them succeed or rot. You have a point of view on how AI changes the calculus. Genuinely AI-native in your practice. You can point to specific, tangible examples of how you use Gen AI tools in discovery, prototyping, visual exploration or production work. We are not looking for someone sceptical of, or hostile to, AI we want someone leaning in. Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking: research, interaction design, visual craft, and the ability to defend the decisions you made. Mentoring experience formal or informal, and the people skills to grow a direct report and raise the bar across a wider cross-functional team. Ability to clearly communicate design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences, from engineers to the exec team. Self-starter attitude with the ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and enjoy a small team in a startup environment.
