🩺 Hope Care is seeking a Senior .NET / Microsoft Azure Developer
Who we are, our purpose, and the impact we create:
Hope Care is a Digital Health and MedTech company building regulated technology for care beyond hospital walls.
We are the creators of OpMA® — the Outpatient Monitoring Aggregator — an interoperable clinical platform that helps hospitals, healthcare organisations and Telehealth Operations Centres remotely monitor and follow patients with chronic, complex and high-risk conditions.
OpMA® is the commercial name of HCAlert, a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) certified as Class IIb under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR). This reflects the level of clinical and regulatory responsibility behind the technology we develop.
Our technology is already used in real clinical environments. Across selected programmes, Hope Care has supported reductions of 55% in hospital readmissions, 61% in emergency room visits, 55% in general practice consultations, 81% in emergency episodes and 45% in hospitalisation days.
We are looking for people who want their work to have a real impact on people's lives, including some of the most vulnerable patients, while helping Hope Care grow across Europe.
🚀 About the role:
We are looking for a Senior .NET / Microsoft Azure Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and evolution of OpMA®. In this role, you will design, develop and maintain scalable applications and APIs, integrate solutions with the OpMA® platform and external healthcare systems, and contribute to software architecture, performance optimisation and system reliability.
You will work closely with Product, Clinical and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable and high-quality software in a regulated healthcare environment.
🎯 Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain scalable applications and APIs using .NET technologies.
- Integrate solutions with the OpMA® platform and external healthcare systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Clinical and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to software architecture decisions, performance optimisation and system reliability.
- Ensure security, compliance and adherence to software development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and mentor team members.
✅ Requirements:
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET MVC/Web API.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming (OOP) and clean architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, Storage, SQL/NoSQL databases and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns and SQL Server.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience in healthcare, digital health or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection and compliance requirements.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps practices.
🌍 What We Offer:
At Hope Care, you will work on technology that is used in real clinical environments and can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
You will join an innovative and growing digital health company, contributing to a certified medical software platform and helping shape solutions that support healthcare professionals and patients.
We aim to create a collaborative working environment focused on quality, innovation and continuous improvement, where you can develop your skills and take on new challenges.
📍 Location:
We have a hybrid working model. You will be based at our offices in Óbidos, Portugal. Depending on your location, we can facilitate car-sharing options for commuting to the office on working days.
