Job Description & Summary

Join PwC’s Advanced Technology Solutions team as a DevOps Engineer (m/f) and help build, run, and scale modern cloud, data, and AI platforms for leading international clients. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on platform ownership, strong collaboration with development teams, and shaping how applications are deployed, secured, monitored, and operated in a modern engineering environment.

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps engineer who will act as the sole dedicated DevOps engineer on the project, working closely with developers, QA, and other engineers in the team, while also collaborating with broader DevOps groups to align with company standards and best practices.

At PwC, AI proficiency is a core capability for modern developers, helping deliver faster, higher-quality, and more innovative solutions. We use AI across software development, data engineering, cloud, automation, and analytics, with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and our own ChatPwC. Through collaborations with leaders like Microsoft and OpenAI, we bring state-of-the-art AI into everyday work. We expect candidates to actively use AI tools to boost productivity, improve problem-solving, and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions responsibly

The Role:

You will support the buildout of PwC’s next-generation analytics and automation platform, designed to replace legacy workflow-based data processing and analysis tools with a more modern and extensible solution. The platform combines a desktop-first approach for workflow development and execution with cloud-native backend services for scheduling, monitoring, governance, and scalable enterprise execution.

In this role, you will take ownership of the DevOps and platform foundations needed to support the product as it evolves. This includes shaping the Kubernetes setup, building deployment patterns, establishing CI/CD pipelines, improving observability, and helping define reliable engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle. It is a strong fit for someone who is comfortable making practical infrastructure decisions, working independently, and partnering closely with engineers across development and QA.

What you will do:

  • Design, build, and operate infrastructure for a greenfield analytics and automation platform
  • Own and support production Kubernetes environments, including deployment, workload operations, troubleshooting, and reliability
  • Work with managed Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, or similar experience with EKS / GKE
  • Set up and maintain deployment patterns using Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux, or similarly repeatable CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, and deployment automation across the SDLC
  • Configure and support Ingress, TLS, DNS, and basic NetworkPolicies
  • Implement and maintain Kubernetes security basics including RBAC, secrets handling, and pod security
  • Establish and improve observability, including monitoring and logging using Prometheus / Grafana or cloud-native alternatives such as Datadog
  • Use Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools to provision clusters and related cloud resources
  • Work with container registries, VPC / VNet networking, secret stores, and workload identity / IAM
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and other engineers while aligning project practices with broader DevOps standards across PwC

What we are looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience in DevOps / platform engineering / cloud infrastructure
  • Solid experience with production Kubernetes, including deployment, operations, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, EKS, or GKE
  • Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps approaches such as Argo CD or Flux, or similarly strong Kubernetes CI/CD experience
  • Experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar IaC tooling
  • Good understanding of Ingress, TLS, DNS, NetworkPolicies, RBAC, secrets, and pod security
  • Experience with monitoring and logging in Kubernetes environments
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, container registries, identity/IAM, and secure workload operation
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of platform setup and DevOps direction on a project
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with developers, QA, and technical stakeholders
  • Good written and spoken English

Why this role:

This is a strong opportunity for a DevOps engineer who wants real ownership in a greenfield product environment. You will have the chance to shape the infrastructure, deployment model, observability, and platform operations behind a next-generation analytics and automation solution, while working closely with an engineering team and influencing how the platform scales over time.
