Your responsibilities will emphasize one or more of the following areas: platform operations and software delivery, security and infrastructure hardening, or monitoring and observability. We welcome candidates with deep experience in one or more of these areas and broad proficiency across DevOps practices.
Working closely with hardware, software, and DevOps teams, you will own operational issues and technical initiatives end-to-end, supporting D-Wave’s quantum computing services and hardware-integrated systems. - Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and software release processes using tools such as GitHub Actions, including deployment reliability and recovery
- Support repository onboarding, access requests, and ticketed infrastructure work, improving consistency through automation and self-service
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash
- Strengthen security across AWS, Kubernetes, and on-premises environments through access controls, secrets management, hardening, and patching, in partnership with enterprise security teams
- Integrate security scanning into engineering workflows and coordinate the prioritization and remediation of findings
- Support compliance evidence collection and Vanta workflows, incorporating security requirements into platform development and cloud migrations
- Improve monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting using tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, and Grafana
- Partner with application owners to improve instrumentation, define meaningful measures of service health, and improve production readiness
- Improve alert quality and develop runbooks to support effective incident response
- Lead complex troubleshooting and incident resolution across applications and infrastructure, driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate across teams, mentor teammates, and contribute to technical design, code reviews, and documentation
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, systems engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to independently own production systems or technical initiatives, balancing day-to-day support with longer-term engineering improvements
