Senior Growth Marketing Specialist

STI Federal is seeking a mission-driven Senior Growth Marketing Specialist to serve as the marketing engine of our federal growth strategy. Partnering with Business Development and Capture, this role builds visibility with agencies, primes, and teaming partners and converts it into qualified pipeline.

Who We Are & What We Do…

At STI Federal, we drive growth through strategic government contracting, fulfilling our mission to support the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Our company reinvests 100% of its profits into tribal businesses or community programs, enhancing the well-being of over 52,000 tribal citizens. Our work empowers federal agencies and strengthens some of the nation’s most critical initiatives, while fostering opportunities for skilled professionals to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do…

Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes

Growth Strategy & Business Development Alignment

  • Partner with Business Development and Capture leadership to build and execute an annual growth marketing plan aligned to target agencies, priority pursuits, contract vehicles, and the recompete calendar.
  • Translate the opportunity pipeline into account-based campaigns aimed at specific agency program offices, contracting activities, OSDBU offices, and large-prime teaming partners.
  • Position STI Federal’s tribally owned status, socioeconomic designations, and differentiators in market-facing messaging that supports set-aside, direct-award, and teaming strategies where applicable.
  • Participate in BD pipeline reviews to keep marketing priorities synchronized with capture timelines.

Conference, Trade Show & Industry Event Marketing

  • Build and manage the annual event calendar (e.g., AFCEA, NDIA, AUSA, ACT-IAC, agency industry days, OSDBU matchmaking events, and tribal business forums), recommending where to attend, exhibit, or sponsor based on pipeline alignment and expected return.
  • Represent and market STI Federal at conferences, trade shows, industry days, and matchmaking sessions: staff the booth, deliver the company pitch, and initiate conversations with government buyers, prime contractors, and prospective teaming partners.
  • Drive pre-event targeting: identify priority attendees, agency speakers, and exhibiting primes; secure meetings for BD and executive leadership; and run pre-show LinkedIn and email outreach.
  • Capture, qualify, and log all event leads and contacts in the CRM within 48 hours of each event, and coordinate disciplined post-event follow-up with Business Development.
  • Measure and report event performance (meetings secured, qualified contacts, teaming conversations initiated, and opportunities influenced) to inform future event investment decisions.

Booth, Exhibit & Collateral Operations

  • Own end-to-end exhibit execution: registration, booth space selection, exhibitor deadlines, shipping and drayage, electrical and internet orders, and on-site setup and teardown.
  • Order, design, and maintain conference booth materials and inventory, including backdrops, banners, table throws, displays, signage, lead-capture tools, and branded promotional items, in alignment with brand standards.
  • Produce event-ready collateral, including capability statements, agency-specific one-pagers, contract vehicle sheets, and leave-behinds tailored to each event’s audience.
  • Manage event and sponsorship budgets and vendors, and prepare booth staff with target lists and talking points so every representative engages on message.
  • Ensure promotional items, hospitality, and event engagement with government personnel comply with federal ethics and gift rules.

Capture & Proposal Marketing Support

  • Maintain the capability statement library, past performance write-ups, and company boilerplate used across capture, proposals, RFIs, and sources sought responses.
  • Produce proposal graphics, win-theme visuals, and branded templates in partnership with the proposal team.

Digital Presence & Content

  • Maintain the corporate website as an authoritative “briefing room” communicating capabilities, NAICS codes, contract vehicles, and past performance, with full ADA and Section 508 compliance.
  • Translate complex technical services into mission-focused web content, capability sheets, whitepapers, newsletters, and proof points in partnership with SMEs and leadership.
  • Lead the company’s LinkedIn presence and executive thought-leadership campaigns, and amplify STI Federal’s event presence before, during, and after each conference.

Pipeline Attribution & Performance

  • Track and report marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline with BD, tying campaigns and events to opportunity outcomes.
  • Route inbound agency and teaming inquiries to Business Development, and ensure no sensitive BD, capture, or nonpublic information enters public-facing materials.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for Success

  • Working knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle, from sources sought through award and recompete, and how marketing accelerates each stage.
  • Confident, polished in-person presence; able to engage senior government officials, prime contractor executives, and small business liaisons on the conference floor.
  • Strong project and vendor management skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside BD, SMEs, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), CMS and analytics tools, and design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva); able to convert technical concepts into clear, persuasive content.
  • Demonstrates commitment to STI Federal’s core values and excels in a collaborative team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience managing corporate websites and producing capability-based content.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree or certifications in marketing, digital marketing, or related specialties; APMP certification a plus.

Experience:

  • Experience marketing for a tribally owned, 8(a), or other small business federal contractor.
  • Experience with federal market intelligence platforms (e.g., GovWin IQ, Bloomberg Government, HigherGov).
  • Experience producing proposal graphics or supporting proposal operations.

Work Environment

  • Environment: Climate-controlled office or remote setting, with up to 25% domestic travel to conferences and industry events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift booth materials up to 40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
