The Senior Director partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, eCommerce, Category Management, and Finance leadership to translate market, category, customer, channel, pricing, trade spend, innovation, and operational drivers into clear financial insights and actions that support profitable growth, gross margin, EBITDA, cash generation, and long-term business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Forecasting and Performance Management

  • Lead the annual operating plan, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance management processes for the Cuisinart business.
  • Own forecast quality across net sales, gross margin, trade spend, customer and channel performance, and key P&L drivers.
  • Assess monthly financial results, identify key drivers and variances versus plan and forecast, and recommend actions to accelerate performance or address risks.
  • Provide an objective view of business risks and opportunities, evaluating trade-offs across short- and long-term business priorities.
  • Oversee monthly financial assessments and accrual processes in partnership with the North America Controls team.

Commercial Finance and Decision Support

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Cuisinart leadership, providing fact-based analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, eCommerce, and Category Management on pricing, promotions, assortment, customer investments, retailer terms, retail media, innovation, and channel mix decisions.
  • Develop robust business cases that evaluate alternatives, key assumptions, financial returns, risks, and strategic alignment.
  • Build customer, SKU, category, and channel profitability views to identify opportunities to grow, improve, redesign, exit, or invest.
  • Develop executive-level price, mix, volume, trade, and margin bridges to clearly communicate business performance and outlook.
  • Ensure investments and resources are prioritized against the highest-value opportunities.

Pricing, Trade Spend and Customer Economics

  • Establish disciplined pricing and trade spend evaluation processes, including promotion lift, base versus incremental volume, gross-to-net, margin rate, retailer funding, deductions, and ROI.
  • Strengthen visibility into customer and channel economics to improve investment decisions and profitability.
  • Provide financial insight and support for key customer negotiations and commercial decisions.

eCommerce and Omnichannel Finance

  • Build strong financial routines for Amazon, Walmart omni, retailer.com, marketplaces, drop ship, fulfillment, retail media, and digital trade.
  • Evaluate channel economics, including fulfillment costs, retailer terms, chargebacks, returns, retail media investments, and contribution margin.
  • Partner with eCommerce leadership to improve visibility into profitability and identify opportunities to optimize growth and investment.

Innovation and Growth

  • Embed financial discipline into the innovation and stage-gate process, including volume assumptions, pricing architecture, cannibalization, gross margin, working capital, launch investment, and post-launch performance.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities through rigorous business cases and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with business leaders to balance growth, profitability, investment requirements, and long-term strategic priorities.

Leadership and Operating Excellence

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Cuisinart finance team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, decision rights, and ways of working.
  • Establish a consistent finance operating rhythm across AOP, forecasting, monthly business reviews, category reviews, and leadership decision forums.
  • Standardize financial templates, KPIs, profitability methodologies, performance bridges, and decision-support tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement and simplification of financial processes and controls in partnership with the broader Finance organization.
  • Partner with Finance Transformation on data requirements, reporting automation, planning tools, business intelligence, and appropriate AI use cases.
  • Translate complex financial and commercial information into clear insights for executive leadership, Board, and lender presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, with significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales finance, revenue growth management, or related finance roles.
  • Experience within CPG, consumer durables, housewares, small appliances, retail, or omnichannel businesses strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a finance team supporting multiple categories, customers, channels, or geographies.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, P&L management, pricing, trade spend, gross-to-net, customer profitability, margin management, and commercial forecasting.
  • Experience supporting major retailers and eCommerce channels, with an understanding of Amazon, Walmart, retailer.com, retail media, fulfillment costs, customer deductions, and returns.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to appropriately challenge assumptions and the status quo.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning, ERP, business intelligence, and visualization platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
