Summary of Position
The Senior Director of Engineering for Registration and Enrollment leads the strategy, vision, and execution of Teladoc's enrollment and eligibility ecosystem. This leader is responsible for ensuring members can successfully enroll in services, verify eligibility, and gain access to the appropriate healthcare benefits through seamless, scalable, and reliable experiences. The role oversees multiple engineering teams and partners closely with Product, Client Solutions, Analytics, Data Science, and external stakeholders to optimize member activation, onboarding completion, and conversion outcomes.
This position requires a seasoned engineering leader who can operate strategically while driving the execution of highly scalable platforms that support payer, employer, and healthcare partner integrations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for Enrollment, Eligibility Verification, Benefits Access, and Member Activation.
- Define and execute the long-term technology strategy for enrollment and eligibility platforms.
- Drive exceptional onboarding experiences that maximize enrollment completion and member activation rates.
- Partner closely with Product, Analytics, Data Science, Client Management, and Strategy teams to improve acquisition funnels and member onboarding outcomes.
- Ensure platform performance, reliability, data quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Establish architectural standards that support future growth and evolving business requirements.
- Provide leadership to Senior Managers and engineering teams across onshore and offshore delivery models.
- Maintain strong project governance, including roadmap execution, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive communication.
- Mentor engineering leaders and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Expected for Position
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including management of large engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading organizations of 30+ engineers.
- Experience building and scaling registration, enrollment, benefits administration, or healthcare access platforms.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, platform architecture, and high-volume transaction processing.
- Proven ability to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated project execution rigor and operational excellence.
- Travel: Up to 5% (2-3 times a year) (travel expectations are approximate and subject to change based on business needs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, payer, health plan, benefits administration, or eligibility ecosystems.
- Experience optimizing member acquisition, activation, and onboarding funnels.
- Knowledge of healthcare enrollment and eligibility standards.
- Experience with data-intensive platforms and large-scale integrations.
- Background working in highly regulated environments.
The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026 Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
