Position Summary:

The Director / Senior Director, Finance Transformation will lead the modernization of Conair's finance operating model. This role will convert fragmented processes, inconsistent data, manual reporting, and isolated tools into standardized, scalable, AI-enabled finance capabilities that improve speed, decision quality, accountability, and value creation. The role has enterprise-wide Finance scope, with approximately 75% of first-year capacity focused on FP&A and commercial finance before expanding further across Finance. Reporting within the CFO organization, this leader partners closely with FP&A, Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, Accounting, IT, Data and Analytics, Legal, Security, and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year finance transformation roadmap aligned to enterprise priorities, value creation goals, and the evolving finance operating model.
  • Standardize core FP&A and management reporting processes across business units and regions, including planning, forecasting, performance reviews, scenario analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Redesign finance workflows to eliminate low-value activity, clarify ownership and controls, reduce manual effort, and improve cycle time and data quality.
  • Lead the design and deployment of scalable planning, reporting, profitability, workflow, and analytics capabilities in partnership with IT and data teams.
  • Establish common data definitions, hierarchies, dimensions, governance, and reconciliation standards for management reporting and decision support.
  • Build practical automation and AI use cases for forecasting, variance analysis, management commentary, scenario modeling, anomaly detection, reconciliations, and self-service insight.
  • Create and prioritize a finance automation pipeline based on business value, feasibility, control requirements, and user adoption.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to develop reusable profitability engines covering brands, categories, channels, customers, and SKUs.
  • Own transformation governance, including milestones, dependencies, benefits tracking, risks, decision rights, and executive steering updates.
  • Lead change management and adoption by defining new roles, training users, establishing process ownership, and measuring sustained use and outcomes.
  • Create a finance transformation center of excellence that provides standards, methods, templates, and delivery support without becoming an administrative project office.
  • Build internal capability so finance teams can use new data, tools, automation, and AI responsibly and independently.
  • Establish a consistent cost-benefit analysis methodology for technology, data, automation, and process solutions, including implementation and recurring costs, capacity released, risk reduction, payback period, ROI, and ownership of realized benefits.
  • Translate finance problems into clear requirements, process designs, minimum viable products, testing plans, acceptance criteria, and scalable operating routines.
  • Clarify delivery accountability across Finance, internal IT and Data teams, and external vendors. This role owns finance requirements, process design, user acceptance testing, adoption, and value realization; technical teams or vendors own configuration, development, integration, and technical quality assurance.
  • Create and maintain a centralized Finance Transformation repository for approved tools, models, process documentation, data definitions, training materials, FAQs, release notes, and support ownership.
  • Focus approximately 75% of first-year capacity on FP&A and commercial finance priorities while building standards and a roadmap that extend across the broader Finance organization.

First 12 to 18 Month Outcomes:

  • Complete a current-state diagnostic of finance processes, reports, data pain points, tools, controls, capability gaps, and manual work intensity.
  • Create an approved transformation roadmap that separates quick wins from foundational builds and ties each initiative to measurable business value.
  • Publish a common finance calendar, reporting taxonomy, KPI dictionary, and decision-rights model for core FP&A and commercial finance routines.
  • Deliver standardized profitability tools for SKU, customer, category, and channel economics.
  • Launch controlled AI and automation pilots for variance analysis, forecast-driver analysis, Board reporting support, and recurring report production.
  • Implement governance for pricing and trade-spend evaluation, including ownership, refresh cadence, approval logic, and post-event measurement.
  • Establish the centralized repository and adoption routines so finance teams can find, learn, use, and sustain approved tools without relying on a small group of experts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CMA, or relevant transformation credential preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience across finance, FP&A, finance transformation, enterprise performance management, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex finance transformation programs from design through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization.
  • Hands-on understanding of planning, forecasting, management reporting, profitability analysis, data models, workflow design, and finance controls.
  • Experience with enterprise planning, ERP, data visualization, automation, or AI-enabled finance solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, OneStream, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to translate business problems into practical process, data, and technology solutions while balancing speed, scalability, controls, and user experience.
  • Experience in a global, multi-brand, multi-channel consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or similarly complex environment preferred.
  • Strong program leadership, stakeholder management, change leadership, and executive communication skills.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience across finance, FP&A, commercial analytics, finance transformation, consulting, finance systems, or business transformation. Senior Director-level candidates should typically bring 12+ years and demonstrated enterprise leadership.
  • Experience developing business cases and cost-benefit analyses using ROI, payback period, implementation and run costs, capacity released, control improvement, and value realization.
  • Builder with strong finance judgment, not solely a systems project manager; able to translate ambiguous finance problems into clear requirements, MVP builds, controlled pilots, and scalable routines.
  • Pragmatic technologist who can distinguish high-value AI and automation from low-value complexity or technology-driven solutions without a clear business case.
  • Strong influencer who can align senior stakeholders through structured problem solving, clear communication, and credibility rather than relying only on formal authority.
