Senior Director - Food Safety Marketing

Neogen is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Director, Food Safety Marketing to lead commercial marketing for our Food Safety business across the United States, Canada, and Australia/New Zealand. This senior leadership role will translate global portfolio and product strategies into regional go-to-market plans, differentiated customer value propositions, and integrated demand-generation programs that drive measurable growth.

You will lead a multidisciplinary marketing team and collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Finance, Regulatory, Operations, and Global Marketing to advance food safety solutions that support customers throughout the global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional commercial marketing and go-to-market strategies for Neogen's food safety diagnostics portfolio across the United States, Canada, and Australia/New Zealand.
• Translate global portfolio, product, and brand strategies into locally relevant plans informed by customer needs, market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and growth opportunities.
• Lead market segmentation, customer research, competitive analysis, and TAM/SAM/SOM assessments to establish strategic priorities and guide investment decisions.
• Define customer value propositions, positioning, and messaging, and oversee integrated campaigns that build awareness, generate qualified demand, strengthen pipeline, and support revenue growth.
• Partner with Sales leadership to improve commercial effectiveness through customer-focused content, sales enablement tools, training, activation plans, and customer programs.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 13 professionals while managing marketing budgets, performance metrics, technology platforms, and resources to maximize business impact.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Significant progressive marketing leadership experience in commercial marketing, portfolio marketing, demand generation, go-to-market strategy, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated success translating business, product, or portfolio strategy into measurable regional marketing plans and commercial outcomes.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams within a complex, matrixed, and cross-functional organization.
• Strong expertise in market segmentation, customer insights, competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, integrated campaign development, and marketing performance measurement.
• Experience using CRM, marketing automation, and sales enablement platforms; familiarity with Salesforce, Eloqua, Seismic, or comparable tools is preferred. Ability to travel as business needs require.

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and experience in food safety, food and beverage, diagnostics, life sciences, laboratory products, or another regulated business-to-business environment. Experience supporting multi-country commercial organizations, launching products, managing complex portfolios, and working with direct-sales and distributor channels is also valued.
