Provenir is seeking an exceptional commercial strategist and business leader to partner directly with the Chief Commercial Officer in driving our company and go-to-market strategy.

This is a highly strategic, hands-on role focused on translating company strategy into a clear and actionable go-to-market approach.

You will work across Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Product to turn those choices into coordinated execution. You will stay close to performance, ensuring our strategy is in action, understanding what is working and driving change where it isn't.

This isn't a strategy role where the work stops at a recommendation. We are looking for someone who can combine strong strategic thinking with the ability to make things happen.

Key Responsibilities

Shape Commercial Strategy

  • Partner with the CCO and leadership team to develop, articulate and maintain Provenir's company and commercial strategy.

  • Translate strategic direction into clear commercial priorities and initiatives.

  • Use market, customer, competitive and internal analysis to identify opportunities and support strategic decisions.

  • Develop recommendations for areas of growth and investment.

Define & Drive Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Develop and maintain Provenir's GTM strategy, translating company strategy into how we win in the market.

  • Define and refine our priority markets, verticals, segments, target audiences, use cases and routes to market.

  • Develop vertical and market-specific strategies, balancing global direction with regional requirements.

  • Work across Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Product to ensure execution is aligned to our GTM priorities.

Develop Sales Enablement

  • Turn strategic priorities into practical, repeatable sales motions for new propositions, use cases, verticals and market opportunities.

  • Develop expansion and cross-sell approach with Customer Success and Sales.

  • Support the continued evolution of our sales methodology, including stages, qualification, gates and expectations of what good looks like.

  • Lead the Sales Enablement function, ensuring sellers have the playbooks, tools, training and knowledge required to execute our GTM strategy.

Lead Strategic Initiatives

  • Own high-priority strategic initiatives that cut across the business, from initial idea through execution.

  • Bring structure to ambiguous opportunities and challenges, establishing clear objectives, ownership and outcomes.

  • Coordinate senior stakeholders, remove blockers and maintain momentum.

  • Move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.

Ensure Strategy Is in Action

  • Define the KPIs and measures required to understand whether our GTM strategy and strategic initiatives are working.

  • Bring together market, customer, marketing, pipeline and sales information to create a joined-up view of performance.

  • Track progress across priority markets, verticals, propositions and sales plays.

  • Turn performance into action - identifying what we should accelerate, change or stop.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is a strong commercial and strategic thinker who also enjoys making the strategy happen.

  • Can take a broad question or half-formed opportunity and turn it into a clear recommendation and plan.

  • Understands how successful B2B go-to-market works across Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success and Partnerships.

  • Uses data to challenge assumptions, make decisions and improve execution.

  • Connects different parts of the business rather than looking at functions in isolation.

  • Can influence senior leaders and drive outcomes without formal authority.

  • Enjoys ambiguity, variety and a fast-moving environment.

  • Brings structure without unnecessary process or bureaucracy.

  • Is curious about how AI can improve how commercial teams analyse, decide and operate.

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience across Commercial Strategy, GTM Strategy, Growth Strategy, Corporate Strategy, Product/GTM Strategy, Strategy & Transformation, Management Consulting or related roles.

  • Significant experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, fintech or complex technology.

  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing GTM strategies, including areas such as segmentation, ICP, vertical strategy, proposition development, market expansion or sales plays.

  • Experience translating strategic priorities into cross-functional programmes and driving them through execution.

  • Strong understanding of the roles Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships and Product play within an effective GTM model.

  • Experience using commercial data and KPIs to diagnose performance and inform decisions.

  • Proven ability to work with senior executives and influence across functional boundaries.

  • Experience of sales enablement, sales methodology or developing repeatable sales plays is highly advantageous.

Industry experience: Experience in financial services SaaS businesses essential. Decisioning, fraud, financial crime, data/analytics or other complex enterprise technology markets would be valuable, but GTM capability and commercial strategic thinking are more important than direct domain experience.

Our employees are our top priority; we offer comprehensive health and wellness plans. You will enjoy paid time off and company holidays, flexible and remote-friendly opportunities, and maternity/paternity leave.
