Job Description Summary

Leads the technology organization supporting business units as assigned or aligned, while serving as a strategic partner to the Head of Corporate Systems and Data. This highly visible role combines enterprise technology leadership, portfolio ownership, executive stakeholder management, and operational discipline across a complex platform landscape.

Job Description

Responsibilities


• Own the end-to-end technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery for business units as assigned or aligned, ensuring platforms and capabilities align with business priorities and enterprise architecture standards.

• Serve as the primary technology leader for assigned or aligned business unit platforms and capabilities, ensuring integration, adoption, ongoing optimization, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.

• Lead technology delivery across assigned or aligned business units, ensuring platforms scale with operational, regulatory, risk, and business requirements.

• Oversee technology support, governance, tooling, and operating models for assigned or aligned business units, ensuring effective delivery and service management.

• Manage the full technology portfolio budget, including capital and operating spend, vendor contracts, licensing, and resource allocation.

• Own capacity and demand management across the portfolio, balancing run-the-business needs with strategic initiatives and making transparent trade-off decisions with stakeholders.

• Build and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps incorporating platform modernization, AI and automation opportunities, risk reduction, and regulatory change.

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of technology professionals, including managers, engineers, product/platform leads, and business analysts; establish clear career paths, performance practices, and succession plans.

• Serve as a trusted technology partner to senior leaders across assigned or aligned business units, translating business needs into technology strategy and communicating complex topics in clear, business-relevant terms.

• Act as a strategic partner and force multiplier for the Head of Corporate Systems and Data, driving key organizational initiatives, executive communications, operating rhythm, special projects, workforce planning, and cross-functional alignment.


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree

• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including 5+ years managing large, complex technology organizations and multi-year budgets

• Demonstrated experience leading technology for corporate, enabling, or business unit functions in a complex enterprise environment

• Direct experience leading enterprise technology platforms and broader business application ecosystems, with the ability to drive integration, adoption, and continuous improvement across assigned or aligned business units

• Proven ability to translate strategic planning into disciplined execution across complex portfolios, operating effectively at both vision and delivery-detail level

• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence senior leaders with diverse priorities

• Strong financial acumen, including budget planning, portfolio prioritization, vendor negotiation, licensing, and capacity/demand management

• Demonstrated people leadership capability, including experience developing talent, building high-performing teams, and fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric delivery

• Experience managing vendor and partner relationships, including systems integrators and platform providers, to ensure quality delivery and cost efficiency

• Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement in handling confidential, sensitive, and organizational information


Preferred Qualifications


• MBA or advanced degree

• Experience with complex enterprise platforms, business applications, or risk and control technology environments relevant to assigned or aligned business units

• Familiarity with platform governance, service management, vendor management, and technology delivery across multiple business domains

• Experience acting in a chief-of-staff, business management, or executive-support capacity

• Executive presence and gravitas to represent technology with senior business leaders and, where required, Board-level audiences

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating structure, clarity, and momentum where it does not yet exist

• Strong ability to balance competing priorities across multiple functions while maintaining enterprise focus and sound judgement


Working Conditions


• Hybrid-Office environment (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)

• Occasional travel (<10%)

• Travel may be required for leadership meetings, business planning sessions, offsites, vendor engagements, or cross-functional governance forums

Compensation


The Salary for this position generally ranges between $220K - $285K. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.


Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
