Reporting to the Vice President, Trade & Payer, the Senior Director, Trade will develop and execute trade and distribution strategies that support product access and availability necessary to support the successful launch and sustained growth of Tegoprazan, a novel potassium competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). The ideal candidate brings deep pharmaceutical trade experience, a strong understanding of channel dynamics, and a proven track record leading trade strategy for successful product launches. This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial Operations to ensure seamless execution of launch and lifecycle management initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute comprehensive trade and distribution strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead relationships and negotiations with national wholesalers, specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies, and other key channel partners.
- Evaluate and optimize distribution networks, channel performance, and patient access pathways.
- Monitor marketplace trends and competitive channel strategies to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Oversee day-to-day trade operations and distributor performance management.
- Lead chargeback, inventory, demand forecasting, and channel data analytics processes.
- Partner with Finance team to optimize gross-to-net performance and trade investments.
- Ensure accurate reporting and analysis of inventory, distribution, and channel metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across trade operations and processes.
- Build strong relationships with internal functions for successful cross functional leadership.
- Perform additional duties as required to support organizational success.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical experience, including product launch experience.
- 7+ years of leadership experience within Trade, Market Access, or Commercial Operations.
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution channels, wholesalers, specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies, and channel economics.
- Strong understanding of Trade processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Strategic thinker with strong understanding of gross-to-net, chargebacks, inventory management, distribution services agreements, and channel analytics.
- Experience negotiating and managing complex trade agreements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with the ability to foster solid working relationships across all levels within the organization.
Salary Range: $170-200K annual salary (this reflects our reasonable and good faith estimate of what will be paid at the time of posting). Competitive benefits package included.
