Position Overview

The Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Wintrust's enterprise data protection controls across Microsoft Purview, Proofpoint, and CrowdStrike platforms. This role works closely with the Senior DLP Engineer and Insider Risk team to protect sensitive information, improve detection accuracy, support investigations, and enhance the organization's overall data protection capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and maintain DLP policies across Microsoft Purview, Proofpoint, CrowdStrike, email, endpoint, cloud, and collaboration platforms
  • Configure and tune DLP detections using sensitive information types, dictionaries, classifiers, regex, EDMs, IDMs, and contextual conditions
  • Perform policy testing, validation, deployment, and change management activities
  • Review and analyze DLP alerts to identify potential policy violations, data exposure events, and insider risk indicators
  • Support Insider Risk investigations by providing technical analysis related to data movement, exfiltration attempts, and policy violations
  • Develop scripts and automation to improve DLP administration, reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Support integration efforts between DLP tools and security platforms such as ServiceNow, SIEM, and case management systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 3+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, compliance technology, or IT Infrastructure
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting DLP, data protection, information protection, insider risk, or security monitoring technologies
  • Experience administering one or more of the following preferred:
    • Microsoft Purview DLP
    • Proofpoint DLP
    • CrowdStrike Data Protection/Insider Risk capabilities
  • Experience supporting data classification, data labeling, or information governance initiatives preferred
  • Experience operating within a financial services, healthcare, or other highly regulated environment

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000.00 - $158,000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
