GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Senior EIT 1 to work within our Transmission Power Delivery Sector. Job Duties: Plans, designs, and facilitates Transmission engineer project design tasks Undertakes technical and feasibility studies. Collaborates with other professionals and discusses requirements with clients. Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs. Ensures that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements. Performs work under professional engineering staff. Handles basic issues and problems but will refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses working knowledge of PLS-Pole and PLS CAD design tasks. Strong team collaboration, oral and written communication, design expertise, and problem-solving skills are required. This position requires local/regional travel and should be expected to be 5-10%. General Characteristics Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments. Applies principles of probability and statistics to determine risk relevant to engineering. Minimum Years of Experience 4+ Education B.S. or M.S. Engineering Certification/Licensure Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification. Technical Responsibilities Performs moderate design tasks. Prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents. Performs research and field investigation. Project and Task Management Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others. Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements. Management Responsibility Receives instruction on specific objectives. Receives direction on unconventional and/or complex problems and possible solutions. Receives a thorough review of completed work for the application of sound professional judgment. Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer typically in their specialty. Communication Skills Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates assertiveness and cooperation in managing conflicts. Interacts with internal and external project team members.
