Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid – 2 days on-site/week)

Start: 1 December 2026 (January 2027 negotiable)

Duration: 12 months, with potential for long-term extension

About the Role

MAAP is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer for an exciting product development project in Helsinki, Finland.

In this role, you will lead electrical design activities, contribute to technical decisions, and work on the development and testing of electrical systems and cabinets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical design activities within product development projects.
• Select, dimension, and specify electrical components for main and auxiliary circuits.
• Design prototype test cabinets and define testing requirements, including environmental and dielectric testing.
• Contribute to electrical system architecture, technical concepts, and engineering decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in senior or lead electrical design positions.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and component dimensioning.
• Experience with electrical engineering design tools.
• Ability to manage detailed engineering work while maintaining an overall technical perspective.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with electrical type testing and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and harness design.
• Familiarity with EPLAN (2D/3D).
• Finnish language skills.
