Senior Electrical Design Engineer (French speaker)

Role Description This full-time Senior Electrical Design Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Giza, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The role involves leading the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution and related infrastructure for industrial, commercial, or residential projects. The engineer will prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines, performing technical assessments, and resolving design issues. The role also requires communicating effectively in French with clients and stakeholders, supporting tenders, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, including applied Electricity and power systems.
• Proven experience in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for building or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of Power Distribution systems, load calculations, and protection coordination.
• Fluency in French (spoken and written) and good command of English for technical communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with relevant design software and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical design packages).
• Familiarity with international and local electrical codes and standards.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and collaborating in cross-functional project teams.
