Role Title: Senior Engagement Manager, Insurance Data, Analytics & AI
BU/Segment: Analytics & AI Services
Location: London, United Kingdom (4 days a week in the office - hybrid working)
Employment Type: Permanent
Summary of the role:
We are seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to lead our Insurance data, analytics, and AI growth agenda in the UK and London market. In this role, you will own new business pursuits and shape winning solutions. You will also lead senior client relationships and oversee the delivery of data, analytics, and AI programmes for carriers, brokers, and specialty insurers. You will be a trusted advisor to client leadership, translating business challenges into scalable, AI-enabled solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Business Development & Pipeline Growth: Own and grow a pipeline of new and existing opportunities across General Insurance (personal lines, commercial, specialty), the London market, and Life. Conduct market, account, and competitor analysis to identify white spaces, and drive new logo acquisition, cross-sell and upsell, and competitive displacement. Take responsibility for revenue and pipeline targets.
- Account Strategy & Management: Develop a deep understanding of each client’s strategy, operating model, and priorities (e.g., underwriting profitability, claims efficiency, pricing sophistication, distribution, regulatory change). Translate this into a detailed account plan that expands the footprint of our services.
- Solutioning & Proposal Leadership: Lead end-to-end solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proactive proposals. Work with architecture, data, and AI specialists to design differentiated solutions, shape commercial models and pricing, define scope, and present compelling proposals and orals to client executives.
- AI & Data Solution Design: Identify, scope, and champion high-value AI use cases across the insurance value chain, such as Generative AI for claims triage and underwriting submission intake, document intelligence, fraud detection, pricing and risk modelling, customer service automation, and agentic workflows. Advise clients on AI strategy, readiness, governance, and responsible AI.
- Delivery Leadership: Provide executive oversight of dual-shore teams delivering analytics, data management, and AI programmes across Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, Marketing, Sales and Distribution, Operations, Finance, and Actuarial. Ensure delivery quality, commercial health, and client satisfaction, and act as the escalation point for risks and issues.
- Data & Cloud Modernisation: Shape and sell data modernisation propositions, including cloud data platforms, data engineering, data governance, data quality, and security, as the foundation for scaled analytics and AI.
- Technology & Market Expertise: Stay current with advances in analytics, Generative AI, agentic AI, and data technologies, as well as insurance market trends, regulation (e.g., FCA, PRA, Consumer Duty), and InsurTech developments. Use this knowledge to articulate the value and competitive advantages of our offerings.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, product, solution architecture, delivery, and alliance teams to build reusable accelerators, industry solutions, and go-to-market offerings. Work in an agile mode with dual-shore teams to deliver outcomes at pace.
- Senior Relationship Building: Build and nurture a strong network with C-suite and senior stakeholders, including Chief Data & Analytics Officers, Chief Underwriting and Claims Officers, CIOs, and Heads of Business Functions. Act as a long-term trusted advisor.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the company as a subject matter expert on insurance data, analytics, and AI at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Contribute to points of view, whitepapers, and client briefings to strengthen our market position.
- Mentoring & Leadership: Coach and develop engagement managers and delivery leads, and contribute to building the practice’s capabilities and culture.
Qualifications and experience we consider essential:
- 12-18 years of experience in consulting, technology services, or analytics supplier environments serving Tier 1 Insurance accounts, with a proven record in business development, account growth, and large programme delivery.
- Demonstrated success in winning and shaping deals, including leading solution design, proposals, and client presentations, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and pipeline targets.
- Strong experience with insurance clients in the UK market (General Insurance, London market, specialty, or Life).
- Hands-on experience in Data, Analytics, and AI, with a track record of delivering or selling AI/ML and Generative AI solutions (e.g., LLM-based applications, document intelligence, predictive modelling) in a regulated enterprise setting.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and their application in analytics and AI (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks), along with data management, governance, quality, and security practices.
- Sound knowledge of the insurance value chain: policy and claims data, underwriting and pricing processes, distribution, and digital operations within carriers and brokers.
- Mature understanding of underwriting and claims principles, cost drivers, and the changing insurance data and technology landscape.
- Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading dual-shore or global delivery teams.
Desirable:
- Understanding of responsible AI, model risk management, and AI regulation (e.g., EU AI Act, FCA expectations on AI use).
- Familiarity with insurance platforms and data standards (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, ACORD, Lloyd’s/London market data).
- Experience building industry accelerators, reusable assets, or go-to-market propositions.
- Relevant degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business; MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CII) is a plus.
As part of a leading global data and artificial intelligence ("AI") company, you can look forward to:
- A competitive salary with a generous bonus, private healthcare, critical illness life assurance at 4 x your annual salary, income protection insurance, and a rewarding pension.
