Senior Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Universal DDI engineering team in Bangalore, India, reporting to a Senior Manager, Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and debug reliable, scalable software modules for Infoblox Universal DDI products. You will work primarily with Golang and cloud-native technologies to deliver secure, maintainable, and testable services that help customers manage DNS, DHCP, and IP address management across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Collaborating closely with product architects, senior engineers, QA, product management, support, and distributed engineering teams, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle. You will also use approved AI-enabled development tools responsibly to improve productivity, automate routine work, strengthen quality, and support informed technical decisions while applying sound engineering judgment.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and debug maintainable, testable software modules for Universal DDI products using Golang
  • Build and enhance cloud-native services and microservices supporting DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and related DDI capabilities
  • Implement and maintain REST and gRPC APIs, service integrations, and event-driven workflows
  • Apply modular design, secure coding, code reuse, observability, and operational-readiness practices
  • Create design documents, technical specifications, test plans, and engineering documentation
  • Develop unit, integration, functional, and automated tests that validate reliability, performance, and backward compatibility
  • Use Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP to develop, deploy, and operate services
  • Integrate databases, Redis or similar caching technologies, and messaging systems such as Kafka or Pulsar
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback that improves design, quality, security, and maintainability
  • Use approved AI coding assistants and agents for code exploration, documentation, test generation, troubleshooting, and repetitive engineering tasks

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-quality software
  • Strong proficiency in Golang, including concurrency, error handling, testing, profiling, and idiomatic design
  • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, system design, and software architecture
  • Experience developing and integrating REST and gRPC services, including API design, versioning, authentication, and observability
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Knowledge of databases, data modeling, Redis or similar caching technologies, and messaging systems such as Kafka or Pulsar
  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, networking concepts, or infrastructure and network-management technologies
  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Agile development practices, code reviews, and the full software development lifecycle
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants, AI agents, or AI-enabled development tools with an understanding of secure and responsible use
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is a plus

  • Use approved AI tools and agents responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting workflows
  • Build working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, cloud, Kubernetes, and service-observability concepts
