Senior Engineer - High Frequency Trading

About the client

A global top-tier centralised digital asset exchange, with derivatives among the market leaders. Fully remote, bilingual working environment. We are looking for an experienced Senior HFT Engineer/Developer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance, low-latency trading systems for digital asset markets. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical trading infrastructure, from market data processing and order execution to risk management and system-level performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and continuously optimize high-performance, low-latency cryptocurrency HFT systems.
• Build and enhance core trading components, including market data subscriptions, order processing, execution, risk controls, and strategy interfaces.
• Optimize system architecture, network performance, CPU and memory utilization, multithreading, and low-level system performance.
• Drive low-latency optimization initiatives, including zero-copy techniques, low-latency network interfaces, and hardware acceleration such as FPGA.
• Support live trading deployments, system monitoring, and performance tuning to ensure high availability, operational stability, and efficient strategy execution.

Requirements

• Proven end-to-end development experience with high-frequency trading systems.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, network programming, and low-latency system design.
• Hands-on experience with low-latency optimization techniques, including zero-copy, multithreading, and cache optimization.
• Experience with high-availability architectures and distributed system deployment.
• Strong ability to identify latency bottlenecks and optimize trading system performance.
• Proficiency in high-performance programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with FPGA or other hardware acceleration technologies is a strong plus.
