Senior Engineering Auditor, Construction Audit

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineering Auditor for a hybrid contract position in Flushing, NY. This is a 2-year, full-time contract (W2 hourly, 40 hours per week) on a client engagement, with on-site work in Flushing, NY and remote work as directed by the client's project manager. You will perform government construction audits, reviewing contractor payments, change orders and changed conditions in line with applicable municipal directives and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

SCOPE OF SERVICES:
- Review, analyze, and audit contractor payment vouchers on construction projects.
- Perform change order review and changed-conditions analysis.
- Conduct construction audit site visits as needed.
- Provide written findings and recommendations to the client's audit staff in line with applicable municipal directives and the FAR.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
- One of the following: (1) a New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license; (2) a minimum of five (5) years of construction management or design experience plus five (5) years of experience performing engineering audits of construction projects; or (3) a minimum of ten (10) years of construction management or design experience.
- Preferred: cost-estimating experience in heavy construction.
