We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to join a high growth tech company expanding across the region. You will work alongside top talent from regional industry leaders to consolidate and build the engineering organisation behind how millions of customers buy every day.

You will lead three Engineering Managers and roughly 15 engineers, partnering directly with the Lead Product Manager to drive technical direction, platform decisions, and delivery speed.

• Lead three Engineering Managers to ensure reliable execution while giving teams full autonomy
• Review technical designs across channels, catalog, inventory, pricing, and checkout systems
• Partner with platform engineering to decide which commerce building blocks become shared services
• Set SLOs across vertical services and ensure systems hold up during peak traffic periods
• Make technical risks explicit in writing and trade them off against delivery speed
• Design engineering roles, run hiring loops, set high interview standards, and develop future managers
• Collaborate with product leaders to own technical execution while deferring to Staff engineers on deep technical details

Discover the requirements

• Proven background leading three or more engineering teams concurrently through engineering managers
• Staff level system design capability with the ability to spot architecture flaws under heavy load
• Hands on experience shipping consumer commerce, marketplace, or booking platforms
• Experience leading mobile focused engineering teams through release trains and store approval processes
• Track record of building hiring pipelines and developing individual contributors into strong managers
• Ability to resolve trade offs with product counterparts through written documentation rather than escalation
• Proficiency using AI tools to assist development while maintaining deep understanding of all shipped code
• Experience with superapp mini app architectures, MENA region payment systems,
• TypeScript, Go, AWS, or Arabic language skills are a strong plus
