The Role Presidio is seeking a highly motivated Multi-Cloud Operations Senior Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team supporting customer environments across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, with future expansion into Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is part of our Cloud Managed Service Team and is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, infrastructure management/optimization, and operational changes across managed cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a strong technical troubleshooter with a passion for operational excellence, automation and emerging AI technologies. Rather than serving solely as a cloud subject matter expert, this individual will leverage cloud platforms, automation frameworks, and AI-powered tools to rapidly diagnose issues, improve service delivery, and drive operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate also demonstrates extreme ownership of customer outcomes, proactively driving issues to resolution, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and serving as a trusted technical advisor who prioritizes customer success while maintaining operational excellence. In addition to day-to-day operational support, this role will help shape the future of Managed Services by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, integrate cloud services through APIs, and develop AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational effectiveness. The engineer will contribute to the adoption of intelligent automation, AIOps practices, generative AI capabilities, and agentic workflows where appropriate to reduce manual effort, accelerate resolution times, improve knowledge sharing, and increase the scalability and consistency of service delivery. This position supports customers with U.S.-only resource requirements, including state and local government organizations with enhanced security and personnel screening standards. Candidates must be able to successfully complete and maintain all customer-required background investigations and eligibility requirements. Travel Requirements: This is a remote role located in the Continental US with 5% associated travel. Responsibilities Include: Diagnose complex operational issues quickly. Understand cloud architecture well enough to identify root causes. Use AI effectively to accelerate investigation and resolution. Build automation and AI-driven workflows to eliminate repetitive work. Learn new cloud services rapidly as AWS, Azure, and GCP continue to evolve. Manage and support cloud-native services including compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security services. Measure and report on automation and AI initiatives, demonstrating improvements in operational efficiency, service delivery, customer experience, and platform reliability. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence through the adoption of automation and AI-first operational practices. Serve as the primary technical resource for managed services customers and drive technical conversations with customer and internal account teams related to the managed services customers. Communicate effectively with customers regarding incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, and change implementations. Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining SLA commitments. Champion the adoption of automation, AI-enabled workflows, and engineering best practices by mentoring team members and leading technical initiatives that improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Provide technical leadership during complex incidents, guiding engineers through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions. Required Skills and Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience 6-9 years' experience troubleshooting and managing core services in both AWS and Azure, including compute, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, and security. 3+ years' developing automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, APIs, workflows, or orchestration tools. 3+ years' experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering environments. Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, assistants, and automation platforms to improve operational efficiency and accelerate problem resolution. Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs and cloud-native services. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with a proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be eligible to support public sector customers and successfully complete any required criminal history, fingerprint-based, or other customer-mandated background investigations necessary to access customer environments and systems. Must be a US Citizen Preferred Skills and Professional Experience: Experience working in various roles at an AWS/Azure MSP Experience building AI-powered operational workflows and intelligent automation solutions. Experience leveraging LLMs, generative AI platforms, and AI assistants within engineering or operations environments. Experience integrating AI services such as Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI APIs, or similar platforms. Experience developing agentic workflows, AI orchestration frameworks, or autonomous operational processes. Experience with AIOps platforms, observability tools, and intelligent event correlation systems. Experience building knowledge retrieval, RAG, or AI-assisted support solutions. AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
