Overview Origami Risk is seeking a Senior Event Operations Manager to own the complete operational execution of Elevate, our flagship Q4 user conference (~900 attendees), and other events supporting our sales and GTM teams. This role demands someone deeply hands-on across all aspects of event production, from venue and vendor negotiations to detailed budget management, timeline coordination, and onsite logistics. You'll be the operational backbone of these events, managing complex vendor relationships, tracking every deliverable, and solving real-time problems to ensure flawless execution. The ideal candidate has planned multiple large-scale B2B SaaS conferences, thrives in the weeds of production details, and brings rigor to budgeting and vendor coordination. You should be comfortable traveling to Elevate and other sales and GTM events (US locations TBD) and conducting site surveys, with an annual travel commitment not to exceed 4 weeks. In this role, you'll also define how we measure event success, partnering with Marketing Operations to build clear ROI frameworks that tie events to pipeline and revenue impact. Responsibilities Owns end-to-end operational execution of Origami Risk's flagship events, anchored by the Elevate user conference and other events for our sales and GTM teams, from planning through onsite delivery. Negotiates and manages vendor and venue contracts, relationships, and performance across hotels, AV, catering, registration, and production partners. Owns swag and promotional merchandise vendor management, sourcing, and fulfillment for Elevate, CAB, ABM, and trade show programs. Develops, tracks, and reconciles event budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and reporting financial performance to leadership. Builds and manages master project plans, timelines, and contingency plans to ensure smooth onsite execution. Oversees registration, attendance tracking, and event logistics, including shipping, materials, and attendee communications. Owns Origami’s events technology platform relationships (e.g., Swoogo, iCapture), including contract negotiation, tool selection, and ongoing optimization; partners with Marketing Operations to ensure clean integrations and data flow, and leads platform enablement across GTM teams. Manages sponsor relationships and deliverables to ensure a seamless, high-value sponsor experience. Supports Client Marketing by owning Client Advisory Board (CAB) event logistics, such as venue selection, contracting, and onsite logistics at Elevate and quarterly regional summits. Owns the event ROI measurement framework, partnering with Marketing Operations to track pipeline impact and guide investment decisions. Partners with sales leadership and communicates event strategy, performance, and recommendations to executive audiences. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS event marketing or event operations, having led at least 2 large-scale (500+ attendee) events end-to-end from RFP through post-event reporting. Bachelor's degree required. Proven experience in vendor negotiation, contract management, and budget ownership for events with budgets of greater than $250K Hands-on experience managing all aspects of event logistics: venues, AV, catering, registration, shipping, swag/promotional merchandise, onsite production, and contingency planning. Advanced spreadsheet skills; comfortable building budgets, tracking spend, and analyzing financial data. Demonstrated ability to measure and communicate the business impact of event investments to senior stakeholders. Executive presence: confident, articulate, and comfortable presenting data and recommendations to VP- and C-level audiences. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously without losing sight of strategic objectives. Up to 25% travel required Preferred: Experience administering event technology platforms (e.g., Swoogo, iCapture), along with strong ability to work within programs like Asana and Salesforce. Experience launching new events or scaling events from smaller to larger formats. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM reporting (Salesforce). Background in the risk management, insurance, or enterprise software space.
