Senior Event Producer
Your Role
A Senior Event Producer (SEP) leads on the development and delivery of high quality client events. This role requires close collaboration with a busy internal team to deliver live, virtual, and hybrid projects, taking ownership of all aspects of event delivery, including liaison with technical production suppliers, and coordination across internal departments.
A SEP is a team player, demonstrating innovation and integrity in their work, and contributing to a positive, supportive and collaborative company culture. The role supports the Project Directors and sets the example for junior team members. A SEP takes ownership of overall client satisfaction, proactively develops strong relationships to retain and grow their accounts. This role also requires excellence in supplier management and relationship building.
Main Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage a wide range of events including conferences, experiential activations, incentive trips, executive dinners, press days and product launches, including any pre-comms and cascade activity.
- Lead projects end‑to‑end, from interpreting briefs, working with Production partners and the internal Creative team to develop concepts and proposals, manage the pre-production planning process and onsite delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard; proactively solve problems and match solutions to client objectives.
- Oversee project documentation, timelines, risks, quality standards, and adherence to internal project management processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of project management guidelines including the use of AI to improve productivity.
- Ensure client communications are clear and consistent. Create meeting agendas, present when required, document and manage key actions and follow‑ups.
- Delegate relevant tasks to the project team, provide direction and support, monitor progress, and maintain motivation.
- Update Project / Event Directors regularly with project progress, risks, and financial status.
Financial Management
- Handle full project budget ownership from planning to reconciliation, proactively managing POs, invoices, budget updates, expenses and financial reporting.
- Ensure your projects meet profitability targets set by the Project Directors.
- Track time/profitability against budgeted management fees.
Supplier Management
- Demonstrate commerciality by building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating costs, and maximising project profitability.
- Manage AV, technical, design, and content teams; oversee talent booking such as entertainment providers and guest speakers.
Client & Account Management
- Be the main point of contact for clients and suppliers, building strong relationships at all levels and ensuring high‑quality service and communication.
- Retain existing client projects and proactively develop account opportunities with the Project Directors and Account Director, seeking opportunities to cross‑sell services and expand revenue streams.
Agency Representation
- Represent the agency and wider group when required.
Job Requirements
- At least five years relevant experience with team management responsibilities.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering large scale projects in a service environment across various private and/or public sectors.
- Educated to degree level/professional qualification or qualified by experience.
- Ability to understand client communication objectives and contribute at a strategic level.
- Excellent skills in time management and work prioritisation, communication and negotiation, financial and budgetary planning.
- Digitally savvy, with experience of event apps and delegate management platforms, the AI landscape, and virtual event options.
- Experience of client relationship management to include developing new business opportunities and growing accounts.
- Good destination knowledge of UK and overseas.
- To be actively involved in company plans and activities.
- Computer literate in Microsoft products.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- UK & International travel required.
