With a team of four attorneys actively managing approximately 65 cases, our client is urgently seeking a Senior Family Law & Civil Litigation Paralegal to provide critical litigation support across a high-stakes, fast-paced caseload. Key Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in managing complex family law and civil litigation cases across multiple active matters.
  • Independently manage discovery processes, including document requests, responses, and production.
  • Prepare and coordinate subpoenas, including requests for medical and financial records.
  • Assist with high-net-worth divorce matters involving business ownership, substantial assets, and complex property division.
  • Prepare, organize, and file litigation documentation in accordance with Washington State and applicable county court requirements.
  • Track and maintain critical court deadlines and case schedules across a demanding caseload.
  • Organize case materials and assist attorneys in preparing for litigation proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized case files for all active matters.
  • Gather, review, and manage financial documentation and other litigation-relevant evidence.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and external parties to ensure cases progress efficiently.
  • Apply knowledge of Washington State court procedures, including King County and Snohomish County Superior Court requirements where applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a family law paralegal — ideally 10 or more years.
  • Washington State family law experience is mandatory. Candidates with experience exclusively in other states will not meet this requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting civil litigation matters in addition to family law.
  • Strong background in litigation discovery, document production, and subpoena preparation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Washington State court procedures, filing requirements, and deadline management.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex cases and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10–25+ years of paralegal experience in family law and/or civil litigation.
  • Experience at established family law or civil litigation firms in the Greater Seattle area.
  • Familiarity with King County and Snohomish County Superior Court procedures.
  • Experience handling high-net-worth divorces and complex asset or property division matters.
  • Experience with cases involving business ownership, business valuations, and substantial financial discovery.
  • Track record supporting attorneys with high-volume, demanding litigation caseloads.
  • Formal paralegal education, degree, or certificate — though equivalent professional experience and training will be considered.

If you are a highly experienced Washington State family law paralegal with a strong litigation background and the confidence to step into a senior role from day one, this is an exceptional opportunity to contribute meaningfully to complex, high-stakes legal work. Our client values proven, hands-on expertise and is ready to welcome dedicated professionals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to make an immediate impact.
