Are you ready to apply your skills where they can create real impact? Finance in Motion is currently seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist (m/w/d) within the Accounting & Tax team in our Finance Department.

The Accounting & Tax team is responsible for accounting, annual and consolidated financial statements, tax compliance, treasury, financial reporting and finance-related projects across the Finance in Motion group. Working closely with senior management and international stakeholders, the team supports accounting, tax and regulatory matters while continuously improving finance processes and systems. To strengthen our team, we are seeking an experienced and independent Senior professional.

Key responsibilities:

• Support and coordination of the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), incl. notes to the financial statements and management reports
• Support in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, incl. reporting packages, consolidation entries, review of financial statement data, and consolidation activities
• Analysis of accounting and tax matters and preparation of accounting memos and technical opinions
• Contribution to accounting, monthly- and quarterly closing procedures, liquidity planning, tax compliance, and the implementation of related controls and documentation
• Further development of accounting, tax and treasury processes, incl. the creation and maintenance of policies, controls, and work instructions, especially with a focus on efficiency and quality gains through AI implementation.
• Independent management of assigned work packages within finance projects and the support of software implementations, from business requirements gathering through testing and rollout
• Close collaboration with other members of the Finance Department, particularly Controlling, to ensure alignment of financial processes and reporting

What we expect:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, auditing, or a comparable finance function
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and consolidation principles
• Proven experience managing annual and consolidated financial statement processes and coordinating external audits
• Sound understanding of corporate taxation, VAT, and financial compliance requirements
• Knowledge in investment/subsidiary controlling
• Profound experience with the practical use of AI
• Hands-on approach as a generalist in a department with a wide range of responsibilities
• Experience in finance transformation initiatives, process optimization, or finance system implementations is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Positive, proactive, and curious mindset with a continuous improvement approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
• Team-oriented personality with strong intercultural awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment
• Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken); additional languages are considered an asset
